Browning BL-22 almost daily. Savage Mark II FSS- at least weekly. Savage 93R17FVSS- weekly. The .17 needs more room to stretch out it's legs than I can get to without driving over to my brothers.

All that I have but lean very heavy on my 22's, Henry lever, Marlin 17M2, Marlin 17HMR, Marlin 22mag, Ruger 10/22 most fun Bushmaster AR 15 with bolt conversion to 22LR. The Bushmaster is not quite as accurate but does hit the paper.

.308 from a Remington 700 AAC SD and 7.62x39 from a Yugo SKS, both loaded subsonic with cast bullets. I turn off the gas on the SKS and use it as a straight pull bolt action.

I can load ammo for these calibers for considerably less than what I pay for mid grade Eley .22 Long Rifle match ammunition.

22 lr somewhere between 100 and 150 rds each week out of the whim of the day rifle selection. 40 rds of 30-06 or 308 each week and then 40 to 80 rds of other centerfire ammo.

I love to shoot my marlin 81dl bolt action the most, but second place would be my ol M-95 bolt rifle :D

How is a .357 diameter bullet a .30?

It isn't, reread my post that you've quoted...

Edit: Wait a minute, are you implying that a .357 diameter bullet is not a .30 caliber bullet litterally as I am understanding it, or that it is not above .30 caliber?

I really hope it's not the latter.

I shoot my hawken style .54 with round balls more than anything, but when it comes to rifle i always have my cz 527 .223 in the pickup, its amazing how many times it comes in handy as far as coons, skunks, coyotes, and prarie dogs are concerned just driving back and forth from the hunting grounds.

I asked a question.

I am wondering if .357 is .30.

Doesn't make sense to me.

4-6 .30 cal ammo cans of loose bulk .22lr a year , nothing else even gets close in volume of rounds shot for me
