Not looking for replies about custom guns, just the kind of unusual guns that not everybody else has one of?
I own a Ruger Redhawk in 357, 5.5 inch barrel and have not seen another in my area in years.
I also own a Ruger SP101, in 22 LR, with the 2 inch barrel. Haven't seen another one of these around anywhere.
I also own a S&W Model 1955 Taget Model in 45 acp, takes moon clips. I see a few of the new Stainless types but no other Blued ones like mine.
These are just some of my "Unususal" handguns that I don't see around much, what do you have theats NOT COMMON but not custom made?

I got a Daisy VL rifle, with 5K+ rounds of ammo. Saw one at a gun show this weekend for the first time in years. ( You can also include my handle..... a .300 Acera )

Sorry but did you mean Handguns only? You were not specific in the title.

One's rare / Ones Odd

I have two odd guns,Ithaca 37 Sid Bell only 215 guns produced according to the factory paper work, and a Daisy Legact 22lr bolt action.

Mateba Unica 6 semi-automatic revolver.

A blued Ruger Redhawk!
What makes it unique is I have a letter from Ruger stating they don't make the Redhawk in blue steel and are not going too!
(When the Redhawk came out I wrote to Ruger asking for a blued steel model. They replied back with the above letter.)

AMT AutoMag III in 9mm WinMag (9x29)
I've only seen one other and I owned it too! :p This one is the VERY LAST one to leave the AMT warehouse. I bought it off the shelf back when I had my FFL pre-Klinton.

PS: ACERA, I have a Daisy single shot bolt action but it's chambered in plain old boring .22 long rifle. It's pretty cool with an adjustable length butt and the barrel/foregrip comes off for easy packing after unscrewing a collar on the barrel.

I don't know if these qualify, but this is as close as I can get to rare or unique.

In 1917 S&W had about 600 left over .455 caliber 1st Models that were declined by the British in favor of the lighter and simpler 2nd Models. These were converted to .45 Colt for the American market and dumped on a big dealer in St. Louis.

The 38/44 "Heavy Duty" was popular with police in the 1930s. The standard barrel length was 5" and supposedly only about 80 were made before the war with a 4" barrel. After the war, the 4" length became standard, but among pre-war guns, collectors tell me that only around 80 were made. This is one of them. Unfortunately, it's been nickel plated and the tip of the hammer spur (on the unusual "humpback" hammer) is broken off.

In 1938 the Utah Highway Patrol ordered 50 of the then new .357 Magnum S&W revolvers (now called the Registered Magnum by collectors). They were factory inscribed with the agency name and numbered 1 - 50. This is #27.

i remember an article on the Mateba... i believe there is
a second firm, that produced a gun like this. Weird looks!

it´s 9mm Para? right?

HK 4, by Heckler & Koch.

It's an alloy frame with four interchangeable barrels & mags, to fire .22 RF, .25 ACP, .32 ACP & .380 ACP. Each barrel has its own (captive) recoil spring.

It's a small & light pistol; the .380 is a bit unpleasant to shoot, because of recoil. :(

Not exactly rare, but my daily carry piece is my factory Colt CCO. You see many of the Gunsite variations around, but not many of the originals.

Those are commonplace at my club. But we're heavily bullseye oriented with an annual D/A revolver league. I've got one. It's probably my most accurate revolver. I shoot it better than my Model 14. The greater weight gives it greater inertia and a slower arc of movement.

One of 3,784. S&W 547 9mm in a 4" sq.butt w/unique extractor.....The price is escalating by the month.....There were 6,486 in the 3" rd. butt.
After firing a few boxes when purchased, I stopped and decided to keep it for an investment or pass it on to one of my "ungrateful" kids....:D

Nothing really rare or even close to it. Sometimes "factory limited" just means "we didn't get enough orders".

Anyhow:
STI Texican - low production much to STI's chagrin - if they ever get their CT supplier producing it won't be "rare" any more.

Wild West Guide Gun - 'cuz even though many have heard of them, they just don't make many as a manufacturer. But, there they are in ATF's 2006 report as having produced 102 rifles. I paid an excise tax so it must be so.

Doug Turnbull Classic - an excellent example of "rare due to limited market". Any Freedom Arms would fall under this kind of "rare".

John Wayne New Vaquero - not so limited as it doesn't get shot. I think Talo "limits" these types to the number they can sell but could be wrong.

Matebas are in .357, .44, or .454 (mine's in .44, and I really need a barrel without a compensator!)

As for the 9mm, are you thinking of the Nosorog?

S&W 4505 (blue steel version of the 4506) with adjustable sights. 1800 4505s were produced total, 600 with AS.

S&W 5967, a 5906 frame with a 3914 slide. 1400 produced. 1399 with the "hooked" trigger guard. Mine does not.
