First that was given to me - Colt Detective Special, followed about 30 minutes later by a Colt Python - 4". Christmas was good last year.

First that I bought - S&W 617/6-shot 22 - 6". By far the most accurate of the three (in my hands, anyway).

The Smith and the Python are a lot of fun so far. The DS if fun but more of a challenge. Can't wait for my new grips - seven more weeks. :(

First was a Ruger P-95 that my wife and I bought after three consecutive break in attempts on three consecutive nights while we were home and she was pregnant with our first.

We also moved soon after.

My first was and still is my favorite: SW40VE

I won't sell it ever so I don't have to do this ===> :banghead:

Neither, it was a Derringer that I am trying to identify it's maker. You can see it under the Firearms Research section of THR under the heading .22 Derringer identification. Or here is the pic of it

Browning Buckmark, and it is still a favorite. But there are more revolvers than semi-autos in the safe at this point.

S&W Model 14, 38 Special with 6in full lug barrel and target hammer.

Picked it from a gentleman I knew a few days after I tuned 16, it would surely have made my parents angry if they had known:uhoh: They weren't exactly pro-gun.

Had that gun for many years and considering I got it like new in the box for $300 I will never forgive myself for getting rid of it:banghead::banghead::mad:

It was an old gun, a 1911 made in the year 1928. Matching numbers it was made by Colt for Argentina. one of 10,000 madeIshoots very well conseidering how old it is. The barrel is worn but its still accurate enough for me, I don't shoot it often anyway.

Learned on my Dad's guns

And had the use of them for several years, revolvers and autos. After I left home, the first one I bought for myself was this one
