What would he carry?

He probably would have tried to carry a Series II, "Custom Shop" Kimber with external extractor. But since it broke the first time he pulled the trigger, he had a settle with a Colt 1911. As he walked through the halls, the Colt "rattled" too much and so he sold it at a 40% loss and bought a Browning High Power. Upon opening the box of 9mm, he felt inferior and outgunned and so traded that pistol for a 40% loss, and bought a Glock 22. Why? Because GlockWonder told him that it never has failed in 500,000 rounds of +++++p+++++ 10mm ammunition having been through it. Being as he is foolish, he tried it, K-boomed the pistol, lost trigger a finger in the process and acquired the nick name lefty. He then had a custom-made 45 ACP prosthetic hand manufactured. However, as he was uncultured and rather accustomed to picking his nose, one unfortunate evening he blew his nose off...lost face so to speak. In the end, he was fortunate to be wealthy, but was compelled to act as the Phantom of the Opera for the remainder of his natural days just to have dates.

There...plot's written. Have your friend fill-in-the-blanks and send me a check for the royalties.

Dork2005...I mean Doc2005

Wealthy I can carry anything and I know what I am doing types carry custom 1911s, Highpowers, and perhaps P7s. Sorry, you just can't leave out 1911s...

With P&R'd j-frames as back ups.

All worked over, engraved, and sporting ivory, of course.

Doc, what gives you the right to steal my storyline?

BTW: the reason the Glock KB'd was because someone put in a .40 Shorty round instead of 10mm. We all know that .40 Shorty is an acceptable substitute for TNT.

Okay "Wealthy James Bond Type"

You are going to need to define that a bit more. James Bond was a government employed spy. Is that part of this character's makeup as well, or are we just supposed to key in on wealthy, charming, playboy, gets all the girls, excellent dresser, etc etc.

As others have stated, a covert operative would use what is avaiable local, ditch it afterwards, and never think twice.

On the other hand, if it is a wealthy playboy who travels around and tends to get mixed up in misadventures somewhat like the Scooby Doo Mystery Team, or the old lady from Murder, She Wrote, that's entirely different.

If it is the 2nd case, he'd probably have a wide variety of guns, but if he were to have just a few ultra fancy ones (maybe his private jet/boat/fancy car only has one handgun in it, even if he has a 400 gun collection in his mansion home) then as mentioned before I'd go Korth, Mateba, or a custombuilt 1911, Sig 910 etc. At this point in flashy you are going to have to define a little bit more about the character.
