What is your first planned firearm purchase for 2005?

I'm in the process of picking up an unfinished Serbu receiver (paid for, DROS'd, should be in my hands this Thursday.) So I need to scrape together the $1695 or so to finish that up.

That and a CMP Garand are first on my to-do list for this year.

Probably a Storm in 9mm. I have a precision rifle, an evil black rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun. I need a subgun, and can't afford NFA prices. I figure get one of every catagory before I get doubles.

After that, I want suppressors. First for my long rifle, then eventually I want to research a good handgun to suppress.

1st a .357 w/4 in barrel (still looking for something light)

Next I am looking to replace my CCW with a .45 but again haven't decided which one!

I will buy a new automatic pistol of some sort, most likely a Sig, HK or Glock in 9mm in anticipation of CA's new law about loaded chamber indicators/mag disconnects after 2006. Possibly a Yugo SKS, as well.

The first is a CZ75B, then, if a job comes thru I'm going to start looking for my first 22-250. Make and model are up in the air right now.

In Jan 2005, I will be acquiring a 10mm Colt Delta Elite SS on hold curently. Since I live in NJ, I gotta wait until "ze papers are vedy." :cuss:

A Lightweight AR Upper Flat-top with Aimpoint
CZ75 SP-01 or Glock 34 or Para P18-9LDA
KelTec P3AT
Rhineland Arms .22 Rifle

I'm in the mood for a blued Colt Diamondback in .38 special with a six-inch barrel in tip-top condition and/or a stainless steel Python with a 2.5-inch barrel in tip-top condition and/or a .22 caliber match pistol.

All Rock River Arms NM parts rifle, for High Power, feeling pretty jazzed about it too.

Frosty - it looks like #1 of 2005 is gonna be a Marlin Camp .45 - the deal for which is in process.

Beyond that tho, the planning is becoming ever more geared to a probably SIG 226 aquisition. (But things can change!)

Smythe77

Know it will be another Browning action 45ACP. In last 4 yrs I have had first one sort of off the shelf by this Cdn pistolsmith & then next made to my specs. Narry a bit of problem from either though I use them both extensively twice a week & basically every week of the years.

So will be doing the same only do not have it all figured out as to EXACTLY what I want & how I want it done. No rails for lights & such while I still stick with Bo-Mar iron sights. Good checkering is important to me & this chap does beautiful work.

You can spot his work at www.dlask.com & you might find it interesting for buying from the States is almost impossible for us Candians, otherwise it would be one of the best in the same way.

gunsite cco

My Gunsite CCO I ordered last year. I was just called and put down 1/2 of the cost last week. I can't wait, and I also have to get another Garand !!!

Hey there, first post on THR. My next will be another Sig, this time a P226ST. I'd like to put the fancy finger-groove grips on it and maybe a light. But until these credit card bills from Christmas get paid, it's just a dream. :banghead:

An AR-15. If I can find what I want for a decent price a shotgun my be able to be squeezed into the budget. After those my little gun safe will be reaching capacity.

The First gun that will be picked up from the dealer on Jan 1 2005 is a
BCP "one" Pistol built on a Series 1 Kimber Gold Match.

My friend has a S&W mod 19 6" he wants me to take off his hands...so I'm going to help him out. I've wanted one for too long. I finished out the year with a Benelli Nova so I'll be saving for a little while.
Mark.
