CRF...even if the prob is rare, not if the rifle is in a DGR.

OTOH: I would like a Rem 700 in .223 Rem. No need to panic for CRF.

I'm biased toward the old model 70,having taken more than 50 deer with one in .243.I may have done just as well with a 700,but I like the action better.

I like the action and accuracy of the old Remington's, and have never had the pleasure of shooting a pre 64 Winchester. My wife has a fairly recent Model 70 Compact Classic that I like a lot, but not as much as the Remington's.
