Who'd like to see these stocks on the market?

Would you like to see any/all these stock designs on the Market?

What I'm trying to do now is design some bottom metal that would allow a detachable magazine. I'll post my design on here and see if I can get some helpful ideas.
I want to make it a 10 rounder, but I realize the pictured mag isn't long enough. Anybody know a way a double stack would work with the 7.62x54?

I just had a thought.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but as long as the rifle is attached to the stock, without movement, accuracy and function remains the same, doesn't it?

What if, instead of making a bedding block that's bedded to the rifle stock, what if I had the bedding block seperate, with no movement tolerance in the stock, say it fits like a glove in a single cut out space, sandwhiched between the barreled action and the bottom metal.

Is this something worth pursuing or is it a no-go.

Good news, I've got a buddy who works for the tree service. He's going to grab me a 3 1/2 foot log of oak that I'm going to cut into a slab, and dry and season. Anyone know how long this will take?

properly?.... longer then youll want to wait LOL, ive been told 10yrs for some woods. Id suggest a panel of shaping foam or a stock blank from somewhere. Im interested in your project, hope it works out well for you

It will take a while, won't it, lol.

I can find out from my 'smith (he builds stocks too) to see how much a stock blank would cost through him. He said once that they weren't terribly expensive, and I hope he was telling the truth.

Ive run across some seconds that were dirt cheap. Ive been contemplating trying to ruff out a stock from a blank just to see how its done.

If that first one is abidextrous then I may just have to buy another Mosin for it to sit in.

FIVETWOSEVEN: Those stocks I've planned on cutting out the shape but leaving the thumbhole filled. When the customer submits his order, he can choose whether or not he wants a thumbhole, and if so, Lefty, Righty, or ambi.

I have no idea yet. I haven't got my start yet, but plan on starting sometime soon. I don't think I see these stocks being over $120, at customer price. We'll see how much materials to make cost, but it can't be that much. I'll have this figured after I talk to my 'smith.

Would they be wood stocks painted Green or was that a representation? I'm assuming they won't be synthetic.

Ive been searching around for the perfect donor mosin for an sv 98 style one so let me know when its available so i can cut you a check.

Get yourself a SVT 40 magazine, that will work for you.

svt 40 mags are the same price as a new mosin. there has to be a better answer. i wonder if a homemade one could be crafted and sent out to a polomer company and mass produced for cheap.

It a detachable mag really necessary? Especially since it's a bolt action, I feel like a box mag would be better suited to a semi-auto.

The detachable mag is just another custom add on that people can enjoy. They don't have to. My partner and I are trying to figure out a way to do a detachable mag (we may have found a way) that will fit in an unmodified stock, for those who like the way their rifle looks, but have the benefit of a larger magazine.

But I don't want to limit all this good stuff with just the Mosin. I've got some designs for the K31 and the Mauser platforms, too. They're all in the link in my signature line.
