Would you gripe at a cop about poor muzzle control?

All cops are human and make mistakes. Most aren't the azzholes many here make them out to be. Would I have "griped" at the officer? No, but I would have
politely asked him to control his muzzle. Odds are, he would have said he was sorry. IMHO, it seems the O.P. may have walked in front of the officers muzzle in order to get to the doorway.....but still, the muzzle should have been pointed down or up as the officer came thru the door. If it was his duty shotgun just taken from the car-rack, it very well may have been loaded. If it was a personal weapon and he was off duty, it should have been unloaded and in a case.

I run a bullseye shooting league.

Every now and then I have to point out to someone they are doing something they should not be doing.

The most common thing is pointing the gun straight up in the air either loading or cocking, or worse yet pointing the muzzle of the gun at the guy next to them while loading. Most people that do it do not even realize they are doing it.
