This one is open to any and EVERY 22 caliber rimfire rifle including 22 mag. This match is meant to be challenging and FUN. Hopefully it will get you out to the range and shooting your rifle.

You may enter with multiple rifles.

This month, we are switching things up a bit, there are 2 different targets you will have to pick from. One you can shoot from any position, and one is a 4 position target.

Leaderboard:

Target 1:

Scoring
Take THREE shots at each bull, for a total of 15 shots.

Corner Bulls:
3 points for each round in the bull. Total of 9 per.
1 point for each round in the colored area.

Center Bull, same as Corners except:
2 points for each round in the colored diamond outside the bull, 1 point for each round in the outer diamond.

10 extra points for all 3 rounds in a bull. The shots have to be CLEARLY FULLY inside the black to get the bonus, but only touching for the 3 points worth.
Max points = 9 * 5 = 45
Max bonus = 10 * 5 = 50
Max score = 45 + 50 = 95.

Range
25 yards for iron sights and non-magnified optics and red dots

50 yards for any Scope or Magnified sighting device.

Position Any

Now, there were some 4 pos targets suggested, these are attached at the bottom of this post. One is for the 25yd irons guys, and one is for the 50yd magnified guys.

Scoring:
3 shots will be fired at each silhouette. The scores are there allready, a miss counts for 0 points. A change to the rules on there, you are not required to shoot them with a timed limit either. (unless you really want to)

For both targets:

Additional Categories we can hammer out what is what if there is any doubt.
-Unlimited/Target Rifles
-Sporting Class Bolts and single shots
-Autoloaders
-Pumps
-Levers

When you are satisfied you've done your best email a picture of your target to me for scoring with the following information.

-Forum name or name you want posted in the results
-Rifle, make, model, vintage if known
-Sights
-Ammo
-Position
-Distance
-Conditions (outdoors, windy, temperature...)

If unable to email a picture you may mail the target to me as well. PM for an address.

For the guys that can't open .pdf files.
The 25 meter target:

The 50 meter target:

Right clicking and selecting "Print Picture" should do it right, given the correct printer settings.

Do you mean the pics don't match the link? The pics are for the 4 position target, which i am having trouble attaching the links for... I don't know how to convert .pdf files to pics, and the pics i have there are the only ones that another person has done.

When will you stop accepting entries? Also, could i possibly shoot my rifle with the scope (entered as scoped rifle) then shoot the rifle with irons (entered as irons rifle)?

I did not expect to do this well

I had not plan on going out today but my daughter asked me about going, can you believe that? Well she actually goes out with me often. I decided since I was going out I would give this another try. Last month was with my Henry Lever standing unsupported. This time it was with a GSG5 and Remington Subsonics supported by 3 sandbags underneath the barrel. Since I have never tested this weapon for accuracy I had to get it dialed in and it took 5 of these targets to do that. What you see here is the 6th target.

Upperleft=9 Center=9 Upperright=5 Bottomleft=7 Bottomright=7 Total=37 Did I score this right?

WOW! Good shooting, ortman.
The first perfect score for the position shoot.
If we get any more perfects, we will have to go to group size to tie-break.
I've attached your's below so everyone knows what they're up against.
Avg. size for all 4 groups is: max CTC 0.450", 0.859 moa.

Mr.Revolverguy, good shooting as well...an improvement over last month :).
gvnwst is the final authority on scoring, but I count that as a 37 as well.
Your daughter is a good shot too!

Thanks, Hud. Guess all that Army training was good for something after all, lol. I may shoot another and had planned to shoot the other target as well but had slight issue with the rifle. The receiver screw loosened up and I did not notice until on the 2nd diamond of the second target. Of course silly me, I only printed one target and had driven the girlfriend's car and had no screwdriver, so the day ended early.

Next time out I'm going to try that Nosler target at 100yds and see how that goes. It is a very fun and useful target overall.

And then towards the end of the month I'll set the scope back to 50yds and see if I can't beat that sumnabee into submission.

Great shootin on those positionals. Honestly made me realize how much more training I need to do as those were better than my bench shooting!

Well...it looks as if the gauntlet has been thrown down.
I'll try to shoot this week end.
Friday is out...have to help with the police cadets.
Saturday is out...have to help with range new member orentation.
Les'see...I'll try Sunday.
I'm going to try to shoot both targets, but ortman probably has us all skunked on position. I'll shoot pos anyway at 25 yds with irons just for gits & shiggles.
Good to see the participation this early in the month!
