What is your favorite revolver?

One night in June 1993, I used a 4” full-lug Ruger GP100, during one of those events in which there is no second-place winner. So, that One is my favorite revolver. Nothing else comes close. (On a related note, I also have much confidence in 125-grain .357 Magnum JHPs.)

Of course, it helps that the original (NOT Hogue!) GP100 factory grip is a perfect fit in my hand, and that the reach to the trigger is perfect for proper placement of my index finger.

Doc, I never seen these before. What's model, who made them? Tanks.

I have a 686 that is a damn raygun it shoots so well. I have a Blackhawk Bisley in 41 that I tend to reach for the most. I just bought a Redhawk in 44 with a 7.5" barrel that I sure love the way it feels and can't wait to shoot it. I love every handgun I own, but the revolvers are special and definitely the three you'll have to take from me.

Wow, those .38-200 OPs must be scarce, Walkalong. And they must be very pleasant to shoot. I am a bit surprised it is your favorite, but it is a very nice gun. Do you handload for it, or can you get ammo that shoots to point of aim, or is that not a problem somehow?
Reed's Ammunition and Research in OK offers 38/200 loaded ammunition for those who don't roll their own. And it's still available in these unprecedented times!

Better description on the overall handgun ammunition page.

Computer skills are not his strong suit, he's told me himself. But that firm offers a slew of generally considered obscure rifle and handgun loaded ammunition and he's been a stand-up guy in my dealings with him.
