I was to lazy to take another picture and have been using the same one since I bought it 2 years ago but this 27-2 is my favorite S&W and my favorite revolver that I own.

That is a tough one. I like N-Frames and prefer them in .45 caliber; either .45 ACP or .45 Colt. So it is either the 4" 25-9 .45 Colt, the 625-7 Mountain Gun .45 Colt, or the 3" 625-3 .45 ACP.



The reason being they all make great carry guns, can perform in a variety of roles, and are all accurate with great actions.

No dash, no lock, no pin, no recess, no MIM.........no worries!

My S&W Model 64 and my S&W Model 25-5, both with the Pachmayr version of Bill Jordan grips.

Oh how I love them so.

My 686-4 I shoot it more accurately than I do any other revolver I own,


and my 57 is a close second.

I second that on the Model 64; it is my companion while going out backpacking and day hiking.

It is my favorite because it completes the set.

S&W 625-6 (Model of 1989) 5-inch full underlug.

Fastest more reliable reloading revolver I have shot. Only shot USPSA with it for two seasons but it's still my favorite.

That’s a “Sophie’s Choice” question; impossible to pick a favorite.

This is today’s double action 10 yard group from my 6” Model 27-2 .357 Magnum,1977; pinned, recessed, target hammer and trigger, firing pin in hammer. It would not be the first of my S&Ws to be sold.

It does depend on the day of the week for me. I guess this calls for a “family photo”. I will have to get back tomorrow.

Actually if you look closer, you will see that the hole is completely in the 10 ring, the black paint just peeled into the 9 ring.
It took the wind right out of my sails though when I was shooting that group.

I'm fickle. My favorite S&W is the one I grab from the safe on any given day. Nine to choose from, hmmmm, which one today?

My 65.

Depends, but 90% of the time I would answer that my 30-1 is my favorite gun period. It was my first anniversary gift from my wife, I shoot it exceptionally well and 32 long is just incredible fun. I need to take a good pic of that gun.

Used to be that if you Google searched “Altamont Altai” it was the first image to pop up. It’s a beauty. It’s number 4 now. Sitting on the brown microsuede couch we threw out about 8 years ago.

Yeah, not an easy question. Don't anyone hold me to this, but for the moment it's my 1950 Military.



It actually was given to me by a grand old gentleman who knew of my fondness for the .44 Special, and had no children with any interest in guns.

My 65-5 Lady Smith, because it was my mothers gun. She past in 2019. Its a pleasure to carry it and a nice shooter.
