What type of EDC knife do you carry

Either a Benchmade Mini Griptillian at ~3" or Benchmade Bugout at ~3.5".

I carry all three everyday: the SD because it has scissors, a screwdriver, and a toothpick, the LST because it's light and handy, and the 3300 because I already had it and TN made it legal to carry, so why not?

I also carry a Morakniv Companion SS in my tool bag because it is tough and sturdy enough to cut almost anything.

An all black partially serrated Kershaw Leek seems to fit my needs pretty well. Plus, light weight and thin makes for easy carry.

Being good looking and relatively inexpensive with good steel doesn't hurt either.

I have several that get used, but something 2.5"-3.5" with a locking blade is almost always in my pocket. A Spyderco Delica seems to be the one more than most.

I would have to vote multiple times. Presently I am carrying this fixed blade, which is about the limit that I can carry in terms of size in a pocket sheath. The retention is via rare-earth magnet. About 3" of cutting edge, about 7" overall. Convex-ground CPM154 with turquoise burlap micarta handles held on with mosaic pins.



If not that knife, then a Zero Tolerance 0900, sadly now discontinued. A 2.7" blade, manual framelock flipper with titanium handles and S35VN blade. Opens like a little rocket.

I have recently developed a fondness for swing gaurds.
The Marbles is for work, the Queen for dress, the Wave for everything else.

I have found with my cutting habits that a good solid otf is the way to go. They carry slim and light, cut well, and are capable of much more than I will ever give them. Bladehq did a great test with hard use and the otfs did fine. These have pretty much kicked out every other knife from my pocket over the last year.

I carry a mini SAK for the same reasons that JohnKSa does and a Buck 444 with a thumb stud on it for rough cutting packing boxes or plastic packaging and finally either a Mini Trapper or Swayback Jack from Case for sharpening pencils and cutting flesh. The Buck is like a Gerber LST; light weight and a locking blade. The lock on the one I've carried for 10+ years started to get iffy so I found two like-new ones on Ebay for $20 shipped that should hold up until assisted living attendants take them away from me.

I haven't carried a fixed blade knife since I was in the military. All of my EDC knives are 3 or 4" blades with a host of lock types. Side lock, back lock, AXIS etc.

A Spyderco Endura, and Native every day

I carry a Cold Steel Finn Wolf, its Scandi-Grind bites deep into flesh, and the point is not brittle and can sustain repeated stabbing use if need be, Ive carried it since december as it was a Birthday gift and I use it everyday in one sort or another.

Benchmade MiniGrip or MiniFreek.

My favorite knife and EDC when not at work, is a Fallkniven S1 carried, weak side (I often carry a locking folder dominant side front pocket as well).

At work, usually a 3.5 - 4" locking folder, dominant side. Spyderco Manix II is what I've been carrying recently for work. Fixed blade sheaths hanging off the belt just seem to get ripped around during a number of my job processes.

Since I already had a couple of LCR's and a LCP II, I figured the LCK was just a natural !

I used to carry frame-lock folders with a 3 - 4" blade, but I carry my SAK Hiker more than anything now. It's just too handy to leave at home. That, and I don't receive weird looks at the office when I have to use it.

Kershaw OSO Sweet. Quick to open, and handy for daily chores as well. Have also carried Spyderco Delica, in addition to Spyderco Rescue and the Cold Steel equivalent with fully serrated edge.

Due to recent changes in Texas law, I am going to switch to a much larger fixed blade plain edge coupled with a SAK Forrester, Soldier and or Rescue type.

Both are folders.

A Leatherman Juice XE6 is always in my pocket.

When I hike or camp, I add my Benchmade CQC-7.

It appears that I am way in the minority. I carry a Case medium stockman and or a SAK

I have a medium Stockman in a belt sheath. I carry it instead of the Swiss Army when not at work. J

Benchmade Resistor is the pocket carry, backup Benchmade Auto Stryker - that one had some serious miles on it when I got it. I had Benchmade fluff and buff, and while it doesn't LOOK any better, it is sharp as all get out. Then of course, the Leatherman. That gets used a lot, great tool, and yes, it's the original Leatherman.

Large Buck Vantage for me, older model with the wood handles and I have a custom one coming with micarta handles. Don't like the current factory version with the plastic liner under the wood handle.
$50 or so, fits my hand well and does all I expect a folder to do at a price point I am good with, have much more $$ knives but after losing some over the years I simply don't carry the $$ ones daily now.
