Y’all score zero for using the wrong target
For those of us who don't usually shoot iron sights (me, if nobody else), how do you know when your aperture is too big/small, and how does that relate to your front sight and target
Y’all score zero for using the wrong target
I had to go look and make sure i didnt post the wrong target lol!Says the person who hasn't posted a target ??
Wowzers! As I was packing up from my range session today I was wondering if anyone had posted a perfect score yet. Pretty darn close there.Range was empty at 8 so I got a quick chance to shoot.

Usually when I notice i need a new contact prescription it's doing something with the a rifle, It's often worth asking the optometrist to take that into account.... At least in my experience.I went out & shot this yesterday. I'm not posting the targets because I am frustrated & embarrassed. I am getting my wife to make me an eye appointment. It appears to be time for some glasses. I shot my 2 iron sighted .22's at 25 yards. Didn't do the greatest but oh well. Then I shot a few rounds through my model 60 with a 4x scope at 25 to check zero. It stacked 3 rounds dead center. I moved out to 50 & the target circles looked like blurs through the 4x scope. I was good at 50 yards with this scope when I put it on the rifle 9 or 10 years ago. I did something similar to this for another forum where I participate then. The target was slightly larger but it was shooting from field positions. I may pick up a higher power scope to put on at least one of them but I believe it is time for some glasses.
More fine shooting! I may have to go borrow my 802 back from my buddy and try this again lol.

One of the more annoying effects of having a minor astigmatism in my right eye is that unless I specifically ask them not to, as often as not optometrists will prescribe a slightly more powerful lens for that eye than is necessary. I found the messes with looking through magnified optics
