Which of your guns would you most trust to work right now?

I am going to assume you mean semi-auto rifle or pistol. All of my revolvers work all the time. Also, all my bolt action rifles work all of the time. Would I use a bolt action rifle in a home defense situation? Hell NO!

I am going to just assume you mean semi-auto pistol or rifle.

My most trusted semi-auto pistols would be my two Berettas and my two G-17s. I have a 92fs and a 92G both work 100%. My G-17 also work 100% and I recently replace my Beretta 92fs with a G17 as my HD gun.

In terms of semi-auto rifles, I would have to go with my Ruger Mini-14. It is more reliable than any AR-15 IMHO and just as reliable as the best AK-47.

I have a couple of AR-15s and two AKs to choose from but if I had to stake my life on one gun it would be my Mini-14. I can also hit better with the MINI-14 than with an AK so it would be more accurate for me as well.

Or my Rem 870 12ga. Always works and I never even clean it.

Ruger Mini 14
It has never skipped a beat.

My Winchester pump shotgun is almost there, but it has gone "click" when I wanted it to go "bang" once. (Due to short stroking it on my part.)

I'd trust all of my guns to work reliably right now because they do. However, here are a few that are not autoloaders, so I suppose they'd go bang without a doubt.

Ruger Blackhawk .357/9mm
Ruger M77 .270
H&R Pardner 12ga.
NEF Handi-Rifle .270/30-30

My Walther P5 and Walther P88C and Walther P99 (and P99C) work each time, every time, without fail, regardless of ammo or weather or other considerations. I've never experienced so much as the slightest hiccup with any of these firearms and, given their outstanding track record to date, never expect to.

Any of them. All of my pistols get carried; some more than others. I trust each of them with my life, as evidenced by the preceding statement.

My 3" Kimber Ultra Carry has been on my hip all day, every day for the last week. I trust it implicitly. The S&W M-25 that lived on my hip for the previous month, likewise. The S&W M-586 that lived there for the month before, likewise. The Kahr PM9 that lived in my front pocket all summer long, likewise...

RRA Elite CAR A4 and Para P14 ltd, both have been 100% reliable and are part of a GOOD pack. Accurate, dependable, light weight

I have a VEPR-K 7.62x39 and a Glock 22, that have also never failed to feed or operate ever. I guess you'd call them back up. The G22 is a daily carry weapon and could easily take the place of the P14, but the P14 is more accurate.

All of them. I've got ammo for everything I own, and everything I own has at least one loaded magazine/clip/charger strip ready for use. Given the time to pick, I'm going for my '53 HRA Garand though.

Now, I do have some that I wouldn't trust to actually HIT anything, and one (my wallhanger Vetterli-Carcano) that would probably pipe-bomb if I used even reduced-charge ammo, but everything is technically capable of going "BANG!" at least once.

Well since this is a grab and go situation then I would grab my M&P .40 since its loaded but out of total and complete reliability in any situation the Ruger Service 6 seems like the most reliable of the household guns.

S&W 642 because if it happens to not fire I just pull the trigger again. No jams to worry about.
