The Redbone Coonhound designated early warning system and primary weapon.
Follow on for Home Defense, Call 911 then whatever is closest (Order of preference) 870 12 gauge. 1911 Sig tac ops, S&W M&P.40c, Dan Wesson .357 wheely or run like hell.

I just don't think the "one gun" way. I carry a G26. Of course I trust it, I carry it. Would it be in my hand if I knew someone was coming to kill me in 20 seconds? No, I'd have a long gun in my hands, either my Mossberg or AR depending on circumstances. It would not be I don't trust the G26 its just those are more powerful longer ranged weapons that I trust as well.

The only one I DON'T trust my life with is my Taurus 92. It has several maladies the worst of which is 3-4% light primer strikes.

I'm confident that Taurus will take care of me, I've just been too lazy lately to box it up and send it off.

But if I had to grab something quick and head out the back door it would be my XDm45 and my AR. Those two have never had so much as a hiccup and I shoot them well.

I don't own a centerfire gun that I wouldn't trust my life to. All of my firearms are ultimately for SD (aside from my .22's, which I consider training tools); if one wasn't up to the job, I'd get rid of it.
