Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T as my Xmas Gift to Me?

I like the CQ/T, but to me, it's a compromise for the sake of being in one tube. I would be more apt to look into a regular, decently made, 4 power scope (Trijicon accupoint 4x or 3-9x ?) with a mini-Holodot (Burris fastfire?) angle-mounted to it. Probably about the same price too.

please post pics of your ar15

Here's my cheap, barely used 16" Bushmaster Dissipator upper ($265.00) on my A2 Stag lower ($239.00) with w Larue Irondot/Burris fastfire holosight ($299.00). Can't really beat an AR with optics for $800.

    1911 Slide Advice

I don't know much about that brand, but any new slide n that state may need to be fitted to the frame, I would think. Putting your old extractor, firing pin, etc, in a new slide could cause additional issues with fitment as well. you CAN get new nightsights for a older .gov 1911's that have...

What is a "good" Japanese optics company?

One other aspect to the low/lower-mid range of optics.... Firm X will design and contract with a great value based firm like Light Optic Works in Japan. After a year, they'll take the design and specs, and move production to China, but keep the price, model, name etc all the same. :(...

What is a "good" Japanese optics company?

There are very few companies actually MAKING sporting optics from start to finish. You can get great glass from about anywhere, so long as you pay the oem glass house to do X,Y, or Z. Almost all consumer glass is Japanese (you hope), Pacific Rim/China (you sigh, and gamble), or European (you...

    Taurus losing my loyalty...

Keep the pistol. Get aftermarket barstock Baer/brown/Wilson parts for where ever they'll go. Taurus's forgings (frame, slide) aren't the issue and are quite good, but I feel that their MIM parts (safety, slipstop pin, beavertail, bushing, hammer, extractor) are just to add perceived value...

Looking for less expensive 6-20x riflescope

    I'd move towards the $180 - $200 pricepoint, and look into the Bushnell 3200 Elite. There probably isn't a definitively better scope/deal out there. http://www.swfa.com/c-184-bushnell-elite-3200-rifle-scopes.aspx EDIT: I didn't realize you were ONLY looking for a 6-20x + ... :) A...

Good thing we're keeping THIS GUY out of the country!

Eh, do yet another search, this time for feldmar's colleague Dr. Charles Osgood... is it me, or is it apparent that he worked on MKUltra?

    How would you classify yourself?

I'm just some dude with a gun. No rail light, laser beams, or bipods. Just bullets.

    Burris Optics Any Good?

I'm really seriously considering the Burris XTS-235. 8 switchable recticles, variable brightness, single low mountable, and a removable 2x magnifier for about $250 makes it a better value out the door than an aimpoint any day of the week, if you're not in the .Mil or an LEO. Burris is a...

    S&W Sigma Pistols

I am not fond of the trigger, or the ergonomics on the Sigmas. If I were in your shoes, I would be apt to look at a used Glock, or Springer XD than the new sigma... jm$.002

    Unite North America

Unless they mean to unite "the other two north American entities, directly" and leave us out of it, these people are crackpots. Let's build several highspeed underground trains, that ferry mexicans and south/central Americans Directly to Canada with no stops. Canada seems to love...

HELP ME! I need proof of California residency

Get your own phone line in your name. That's the easiest way it seems. CA is ridiculous. As a side note, do you currently own any other firearms? Unless you hunt deer, bear, and wild pigs, elk and bighorn sheep, that particular pistol/cartridge is nearly useless, brutal on the hands, and...

Best place to buy 9mm ammo...

For 9mm I just use Winchester White box 100 packs, or Federal American Eagle, preferrably 100 packs of the WInchester. I typically won't spend more than $8.00 for 50rds or $13.00 for 100rds regarding practivce Ammo.

    9mm AR Good Deal?

9mm AR's are great, since you can use them at most indoor ranges, and the ammo cost a lot less. But, I would say to find out if it's a mix and match rifle or a "as factory" piece. Then if it's piecemeal, work them over on the price. Also find out if it's got a removeable Magblock. A new...

Why are gun enthusiasts so against fighting for their rights?

Judging from trends and demographics, gun owners often have better jobs, own property, and have more kids that than non-gun owners. We've got a lot more to lose.
