FWIW - The MG-42's shoot the 8mm Mauser as in 7.92x57mm
However, there are MG3's out there that shoot .308 cal. MG-42's and MG3's can be converted from 8mm to .308.
As far as my research goes, it's easier to go from 8mm to .308 than the other way around.

DSA FAL - great quality made rifles that are very rugged. :cool:
Centerfire FAL's are cheaper but you risk getting a junk receiver from what I hear and it's a re-build as opposed to 'new'.
Well, FWIW ~ I traded off my .44 Ruger Super Blackhawk, a Mosin M44, and some cash for my new .44 DE.
We'll see in time if it was worth it.......you only live once ! ;)
Picked up a Black .44 DE at the gun show this past weekend. Had to trade a few guns for it but I'm happy with the trade.
I'll probably test at the range and then put it up for sale at the next show. :cool:
Not sure of that brand or type of rounds but 7.62 x 39mm is now running about 18 to 20 cents per round.
That's $216 to $240 per case of 1200 that you have.......almost $500 worth of ammo. ;)

How do you 'date' these rifles.....there's a faint 1944 followed by a letter marked on it with a bunch of Russian symbols. I can post a pic later if...
Wow, this baby is pristine and seemed way too hard to pass up for $99 at last weekend's gun show..........just thought I'd share ~ can't wait to shoot her at the range.
