$5K burning a hole, what pistol would you buy?

Somehow I ended up with $5K to buy any pistol I want. Sounded simple until I started looking. The 1911's they made out of a meteorite? I got to see them. Just a tad out of my price range. Your choice?

Can’t think of anything, new or used I’d be willing to buy for that kind of money. I’d pick up maybe 10-15 bricks of primers and save the rest for gas.

Ps: in hindsight I might go for a case hardened Desert Eagle .44 Mag or better in .357 if that caliber is an option.

I guess I’m way too frugal to spend $5K on a handgun…I can’t think of anything I’d want that costs over $3500, and that’s pushing it. Most I’ve spent on a handgun is $3000 for a Staccato, optics plate, and optic that I ended up not really enjoying and sold it to my friend for a smoking good deal.

I'd get a Dan Wesson 1911, or similar, and spend the rest on ammo.

I honestly can’t think of a Semi auto pistol I’d spend 5k on that’s been made in the last 80 years, probably longer.

I guess I’d probably but a 1911, not a 1911-A1… but after some thought and research something else may come to mind.

ETA: Maybe a Swiss Sig P210, I think that’s the right model I’m thinking of. Lol

I wouldn't, but if it had to be a pistol, either a SIG P210, or a Pardini .22 match gun.
I'd probably spend 5K on a shotgun or two first.

I'd look at what I have and stock up on accessories and ammunition for that. Once I got that squared away I'd seriously an M&P shield 1.0 and whatever ammunition and accessories for it.

I’m crazy about accurate 9mm’s. The last two I bought totaled about $5000, SIG P210 Target and a S&W 952. You don’t find 952’s often but they are worth the hunt. Because I like the 952 so much I bought a S&W 945, another superb shooter.
