A Glock observation

I think your right. H/K, S/W, Ruger, FN, Sig, CZ, Walther, Steyr and so many others are making plastic pistols now, and people flock to the new and exciting, but Glocks just are what they are, and deep, deep down, the hipsters, snobs and 'something different' crowd know that.
Of course 1911's are better.....

Good advise here

Whats wrong with Folgers? :p

"Gourmet" and Folgers is definitely an oxymoron. Someone had to drink that crap for the utilitarian containers..

Just like the subject matter of the thread, the coffee bean has evolved considerably in the past few decades :neener:.

Folgers is another perfect example. When SHTF are you gonna keep buying Starbucks or go with the more available, tried and true, inexpensive to operate, more aftermarket Folgers. Mic drop
Some folks are content with mediocrity. Some folks have more refined tastes. Many can live with a non-ergonomic, ugly and soul-less handgun that comes with a mediocre trigger and crappy sights; some demand more. Some are content with Cuervo, some favor Patron or Don Julio; some drive Kia Rios and some prefer a Porsche.

It'll all do what needs doing and get you where you want to go. I just prefer to enjoy the journey in style.

America. There's room for all of us.

Hey, Im not a coffee snob. As long as its hot and black, and none of that sissy flavoring, its all good. :)

Wasnt ever a beer snob either. Warm or cold, its all good. :p

And some of us arent "specialists", and dont seem to have a problem shooting "any" of them well, even right out of the box.

Dont be making excuses. Its not the guns fault if you cant shoot it.

Uh, what? Who's making excuses about what? Personally, I can shoot my Glocks just fine; I simply prefer to shoot others ...

Let's not stoop to putting words in other's mouths ... er, posts ....

Would you believe it? I even have a favorite Glock!

Wasnt stooping at all, just quoting. :p
Um, well, you quoted my post, and then said not to make excuses ... I never said I couldn't shoot the silly things.

I love how so many are compelled to step up and defend Glocks against the relentless onslaught of perceived Glock hate, when the fact is, some of us just really don't care that much one way or the other. (Having said that, I will, of course, leap up righteously as an internet warrior to defend SIGs, 1911s, and even British motorcars, to the death.)

They are ubiquitous, thats why I bought one. I wish I had a g27 with a 9mm barrel to truly take advantage of all the common parts.
