Rimlock is lethal.
I learned the hard way, but not the real hard way.
My incident happened at the range. The first thing I do at the range is draw and fire from my conceal carry holster as I would have to do in the real world. I had been carrying the P-32 for a year with HP ammo and visiting the range every few months. One day I dropped into the range made the draw and pulled the slide in one continuous motion and released it to chamber that first round and the weapon jammed and I mean locked-up solid. "Rimlock" is really gun-lock. The slide will not move.
It took a few minutes of careful cussing to render the weapon safe and ready. The whole time I was thinking that in a real world situation I would have exposed the weapon and my intention to use it on the perpetrator and all I could do is throw it at them.
I corresponded with Keltec and they offered a HP magazine-conversion-kit for the P-32 to prevent rimlock. The kit is not on the website accessory list, but you can email Keltec for a part number and order it. The kit modifies the magazine by adding a spacer bar to the back of the magazine below the feed level so the HP rounds fit snugly front to back preventing rimlock.
I have tried to create a rimlock with these installed using Gold and Silver HP rounds and can't do it. Rounds will go rim to rim, that is the rims will sit on top of each other, but they can't seem to overlap and lock. The rim to rim condition is hard to create, but the ammo will feed without problem.
For the P-32 these kits are well worth it and the spacer can be removed in a few seconds to shoot round-nose-FM ammo at the range.
Lots of good advice previously given about care in magazine loading.
