I know several legal immigrants that are mad as hell at the proposed amnesty for illegal immigrants. They paid thousands of dollars, took tests, filled out forms, gave fingerprints, got tested for diseases and waited. And waited. Now the illegals will get a free ride - they are rightfully angry!

I have also read a number of newspaper interviews/editorials/letters to the editor from legal immigrants expressing the exact same opinion.

Could the Minutemen recruit a "special division" of members consisting entirely of legal immigrants? Imagine a march on Washington: they would be confronted by a bunch of left-wing wackos screaming "racist" to the Minutemen, only to have the Minutemen turn their signs around to show a different message: "I AM an immigrant!"

Definetely sounds like it would make since, if the pro-illegal types subscribed to that chain of thought. The fact of the matter is, the pro-illegals have decided to lump legal immigrants and border hopper's into the same boat. A good example has been made repeatedly on Your World with Cavuto over on Fox. The pro-illegals and illegals repeatedly insult him for being anti-illegal-immigration and call him 'racist' when his wife is a legal Latina immigrant. When he tries to show them how wrong they are, they simply won't accept that fact, because it is inequality.

IFthe federales were serious about thinning the herd, I suggest implementing a bounty program where any LEGAL immigrant dropping a dime on ILLEGAL immigrants would be awarded a crisp $100 bill for every one put into the paddy wagon. Show the ossifer your legal paperwork and perhaps recite a security code given at the time of dime drop and walk off with a wad of C-notes.

Joe Citizen didn't have to jump around like an organ grinder monkey on the INS leash. Legal immigrants did and I think they should be rewarded for sticking to the law in the face of rampant lawlessness.

Now I would not be opposed to Joe Citizen getting referral fees from a legal immigrant for helping identify targets of opportunity. But let that be between them. We need to reward good behavior and punish bad behavior. Yeah, I know I'm a throwback but so what.
