My 2 normal carry revolvers are a 4" Colt Python or a 3" S&W 65. The Python is loaded with 125 gr. SJHP 357 Magnum. The S&W 65 is loaded with 125 SJHP 38 Spec+P.
Normally I carry the 1911, just old school and I can shoot the heck out of it. Served me well during my 21 year military career. When I do carry a wheel gun its the 642 with crimson laser grips or the NAA 22 mag with the holster design. Quite accurate and good grip design for a 22 magnum.
LCR .38+P as the primary, and NAA Pug .22 magnum as the BUG. Two Quickstrips in a pouch for the LCR + 5 round reload for the Pug in the pocket holster.
I do. Don't even carry any semi autos. I carry a S&W 360 chiefs special. 357 power in a 13oz package. When I don't carry that I car a S&W 629 classic 4".
Now I don't CC mind you, only because I'm still getting my feet on the ground from a recent move to a new state, but I plan to as soon as possible. This big ol' magnum would be to big to tote around anyhow, but when I'm out on my property it often finds it's way into a holster and comes along. In addition, it serves as my primary home defense handgun and sees a great deal of range time. It's more accurate than I am that's for sure, consistently cloverleafs at 10 yards with almost anything put in it. The gun has some weight to it but carrying in a plain jane Uncle Mikes "Wal-Mart special" holster isn't too bad even with a couple speedloaders using just a standard leather belt. I like the weight of this piece, it tames full power .357 magnum defensive ammo (like pictured) very well.
So while I don't think this gun qualifies as a true "carry piece" in the traditional sense of the term, you can bet if someone rolls up on my land who shouldn't be there I will probably have it at my side ready to go!
I do sometimes carry a Kahr CW9, but most often I carry a Ruger SP101 in 327 Fed. Mag. The size of the Ruger is perfect for carrying, and I've found it to be very accurate out to 25 yards.
Off and on depends on what I'm wearing and how I feel.
The revolver is a Chaippa Rhino 200DS .357 mag and the auto is a Gen. 1 Kahr TP9, 9mm.
The Rhino with full load 357 has hardly any barrel flip due to the barrel 6 o'clock position, recoil is felt in the meat of the hand and you will feel it. With .38 +P ammo it feels like a really loud 22LR.
The TP9 is a great in the waistband pistol being polymer and stainless, very little maintenances.
