Because you eliminated the second option, I'd let you know that I have 2 ARs myself and have handled them enough in the military to know how they pop apart and back together. It's not rocket science.

No, I didn't think you didn't know, it was one of my stated reasons for not seeing any ADVANTAGE to the XM8.

My confusion is over why you jumped my @$$ over it since we seem to mostly agree on the matter.

I'm sure that you know after reading the threads that the 6.8 SPC is dead too. If we could get them to start buying MK 262 in quantity we'd be much better off. But it's still pretty much a special forces item and PVT Snuffy is stuck with M855.

Yeah. I didn't think the 6.8mm ever had much of a chance, anyway. After reading a bunch of info DocGKR has posted about it on the various forums, it has seemed like an improvement to me. Or at least, the best one to fit in a 5.56x45mm mag.

But then, I don't remember seeing any terminal ballistic work on the mk262 load that I could compare it to. Anyone know where I can find some?
