I put Al on their beacuse I thought it might be funny to have a liberal discussing another liberal's foul play.

While we're at it, we might want to also consider writing some folk about a little thing called the "FAIRNESS DOCTRINE" as well - if we want to continue to enjoy the "real time internet" as we know it. :what:

FD supporters: "Waaaaah, it's not FAIR that the good guys use the media and grassroots lobbying to expose us as the low-down stinking elitist tyrants that we are! We need a LAW! Waaaaah!" :barf:
 
Let's stay focused on the ethical violation Ms. McCarthy just commited by exagerating the deaths to her constituants to advance her political career. Do NOT get hung up on the RKBA issue, the AWB issue or whether she called anything by it's remotely correct name. More people will be outraged that she used the blood of those murdered in Utah to paint a false picture to support her politics.

We want a general disapproval of her on this ethical basis and not the 2nd.

That may come in _real_ handy for some other activist-oriented stuff, but for right now, it's important that we hammer (at least for the next 24-48 hours) the _media_ on the issue at hand. That link is VERY kewl tho... and it _will_ get used. Just not for this gig...

And that means that we FOCUS. I know that's a little hard for some folks, and it's even harder for those folks who'd like to see us even further fragmented...

The issue at hand, and everyone needs to hit at least the Salt Lake City papers, and preferably the big national news outlets (don'tcha love the internet and cable? Isn't it amazing that people aren't really including abc, nbc and cbs?), including some print media, is about the congresswoman's attempt to garner votes via the blood of innocents.

FOCUS on that issue. And everything else will take care of itself.

Give us an Activist forum.

We can make some stickies of contact lists, etc. We can work on folks' letters and logic. And on the message.

And we can ignore the "It's all about my pet cause, which is completely different from RKBA, and may actually be sorta opposed to it, but I'm gonna spew it all over the thread anyway" routine.

Okay. We can completely ignore this last post. It does not pertain to rocking public opinion regarding the congresswoman's spewings. Oh,wait a minute - someone deleted it - THANKS!

Instead, it may be a classic case of "Let's derail what people are doing, and get them all carping about something useless."

This woman used her husband's death in a Long Island Railroad Shooting to get herself elected as an anti gun nut...............She should have realized at the time that if someone on that train on Long Island had been a legal CCW permit holder and was armed, maybe the shootings could have be stopped long before the screwball ran out of ammo..........

Eh...I just copied the screenshot into the text of the email. It won't work for the form mail/contact things but fine for the normal emails.

Sent to the outlets listed in this thread.

Do not, NOT, use anything that points back to THR or hints that you are a 2A supporter. We do not want an editor looking at anything that lets them say, "Ohhh, more gun nut complaints.", nor do we want them looking at this thread. So, no trails of bread crumbs and no waving 2A flags.

The idea is that anyone and everyone should be outraged at Congresswoman McCarthy's dishonesty on such a tragic incident. She is so blinded by her singlminded ambition that she would exagerate the number of murder victems.

That was why I initially wanted the URL of the actual hosting site for the screen shot. No issue for now as far as I'm concerned.....it was just a JPG that I copied into my email.

Ahhh... That means we at least got NOTICED... Probably got a tip from a loyal newsroom person... Or someone got all genius on us, and wrote to her, or to a democratic congresscritter...

We're gonna HAVE to do this again...

We need to start working on ideas, etc...

Probably still won't hurt to grouch to the media, but now she's probably got a reply worked up...
