IMHO, he was set up to do it. Not trained - just given the stuff, and pointed toward his 72 virgins. I mean, sheesh... I suck at combat shotgun, and I would have been more effective. But this is all beside the point...
Guys, let's analyze what we've accomplished - time for an after action report...
What went right: Did get a LOT of media contact information, got more than a few folks sending e-mails. I'm guessing they were numbered in the dozens per outlet tho, rather than in the hundreds or thousands. But it's all good... Even if they were caught by "liberal" gatekeepers, their cynicism quotient may have been increased. That's also a good thing.
What went wrong: Hard to keep folks on track. Need to have a standard operating procedure, and all participants _with the program._
Lessons learned: Focus, focus, focus, and get organized faster next time. Because time is both an friend and a foe.
