CCW...and dating?

...I went out with some friends to a bar one night back when I was single a couple of years ago. Since I always carry, I pretty much don't drink in public aside from a beer or two with dinner on occasion. So anyway, I had my Walther P99 on my hip feeling comfy as ever, watching some gals bumpin and a grindin on top of the bar doing various seductive maneuvers; they were smoking hot. So anyway, one of the female co-workers that I went there with leaned into me and said into my ear, "That's hot huh? The girls".


She just smiles and starts biting and kissing my neck, so I'm like, ‘Okay, I can go with this’. Anyway, I drove them all back home later that night (purposefully saving the friendly hottie for last). When we got to her place I walked her to the door (like I did with all of the others ladies) and when she opens the door she just pulls me in and we start going at it like a bunch of filthy pigs.


When she went to remove my belt her hands found my Walther P99 snug in the holster. She lifted up my shirt, saw what it was and said, "Okay, you take care of that, I'll take care of this" and gave me a wink.

I slid that P99 onto the nightstand as fast as I think I've ever moved. She wasn't even fazed by it (maybe even a little, dare I say, aroused by it?).


Now, my current s/o, whom I love dearly, bless her heart, used to think that I was a bit on the paranoid side. I didn't help matters in the beginning by cleaning my FAL in the living room on a whim or wearing my USP while cooking with no cover shirt I suppose. When she saw me loading my USP 45C mags, she said, "Damn, those are big friggen bullets, what do you need something that big for?"

My response:

"Well, you never get a second chance to make a first impression."


She's definitely very pro-gun, she just finds me odd and an interesting creature. I can live with that, definitely a keeper.

Girl I work with we talk about my guns on occasion and she can hold a half decent conversation about them and isn't bothered by them. Then one day she was developing a thirty minute photo order and started freaking out about something dead I go "oh great....what the heck is on there psyco killer photos or something" I'm serious she acted like there was a dismembered body on there or something. So I go look and theres a guy with a big smile posing with dead bambi....

My wife is starting to get into guns, but killing animals is something she'll never do unless absolutely necessary. I hope she feels the same about me.

Get it out in the open A.S.A.P. I got lucky, my gf (going on 3 months now) and I met one night fishing. She happened to be friends with my best buddy so he called me up and was like "hey, you need to come out fishing and meet this girl." So I did and ended up asking her out and it has been awesome ever since. That night in my truck was my Glock 32 and Kel-tec P-3AT. Oh and my buddy's S&W .44 mag, S&W 1911 and Savage .300 Winchester Mag. Yeah so at any rate she knew my "obsession" before we even went on our first date. But she is in school to be a cop, wants me to teach her to shoot, help her pick out a pistol and get her FL CWP.


Can't stress enough what everyone else has said. Get it out in the open early...maybe not first date early but definately by second, NO later than third. My humble opinion.
