Anybody have one? Are they any good? Where do they compare to the other low budget 1911s?
Well, today I found a RIA 1911A1 for 69.00 less than the asking price on the C.D. so i went with the RIA.
Thanks for the feedback folks.
Always appreciated!
Is this current Charles Daly or an historic Charles Daly?
So, who made the 1911 in question? Any pics?
Not sure but did see Italy stamped on the slide. Current manufactured.
As the folks I've quoted above you allude to, there is a current Charles Daly 1911 and they aren't made by Armscor. The Charles Daly 1911s were made by Armscor, the same company that makes RIA.
Not a 1911 but kinda on topic of opinions on CDaly quality. 15 or so years back I bought a new CDaly 20 gauge semi auto at Walmart. Of Turkish origin. Primarily because it was so light. Came with a complete extra gas piston/springs/seals and 3 choke tubes.
Used it for 10 grouse seasons in some pretty bad conditions. Always ran flawlessly and still have the new wrapped replacement gas system on standby. I’d buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed it.
