Colorado Gun Control - Standard Capacity Magazines, Private Sales proposed bans

So, they did this to keep guns out of the hands of criminals... now it looks like they're trying to make us the criminals by having them (and certain magazines)... so they are actually keeping their word in a very twisted and nasty way.

It is not democracy, it is not self government when the Federal Government (via the POTUS and thus the executive branch) effectively orders senators to vote for the bill. It is statism, it is unholy collusion and in harsher times, grounds for the rope and rifle.

A COUPLE IMPORTANT THINGS:
1) The magazine ban bill still has to go back to the House due to the shotgun magazine amendment. There is just the faintest of hopes that it can still be killed there.
2) We should absolutely bombard Governor Hickenlooper with e-mails/letters/phone calls starting RIGHT NOW to see if we can sway his opinion. Again, only the slightest of hope exists, but I don't believe in laying down and giving up until the clock runs out.
3) LETS AMEND THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION! I already started a thread on this subject in the Activism section, but it doesn't appear anyone really visits that part of the forum. We can invalidate this law through a citizen ballot initiative that might protect us from future infringements upon our rights as well!

Look, in horror, upon the spread of civilian disarmament. Every county that went blue is part of the plague... it has taken root in our southwestern quarter and invades by the coasts. May our children forgive us.

Actually... this may be a spectacular way to hold up the bill...
get in contact with a gay rights group and have them demand that the bill be amended. It will have to then go through the house and senate again and we could have another shot at killing it or hold it up so long as to make it moot.

What time have you got? It is harsher times, by my watch.
You need to go through a FFL for a BGC and BGC fee to sell person to person... so it's no longer 'private' sales, so yeah pretty much private sales are banned...

Yep,
You have now been stripped of all three fundamental rights:
Life (gone, Obamacare, you can be fined for living if you don't meet certain requirements)
Liberty (gone, NDAA, you can be detained forever without trial)
Property (gone with eminent domain, now extra gone because you have been ordered not to sell your property)

I completely believe it has happened, but another part of me cannot believe it has happened. At one point I considered Colorado a viable option for a state to move to. Not anymore

How exactly will hey determine if your Magpul mag is grandfathered or not?

They are datestamped.
USGI mags have date coded NSNs
basically if you want untraceble mags go with crappy ones that aren't used by any major agency to avoid NSNs and datestamps. Replace the follower and springs, of say, a Syntec mag and you will have a good mag.
Although, if I was magpul, I would stop datestamping them.
