Concealed Carry Questions?

I've had a permit for over 12 years now. The first gun I carried was a Glock 19. Currently, I carry a Colt Govt Model.

I've been carrying for 15 years, and my first gun was a Sig P225. Then went to a P226.. then I went through a number of guns. Everything from Glock, S&W, Kimber, Wilson, Springfield. Now I'm carrying a Sig P229 in 357 Sig.

Carrying 13 years. Started with a Smith and Wesson nickel plated model 10 2". Been through the gammet of firearms, now when I am working it is a Smith and Wesson 5946 with a Kel-Tec P32 in the left front pocket. When I am off it is a Glock 32 in .357 Sig, which is soon to be replaced with the new Sig P229RDAK in 40S&W. Hmmmmm, notice a shift here. I guess it would have been more wierd if it was a Smith and Wesson in a Sig caliber and then a Sig in a Smith caliber.....:scrutiny:

I feel out of place here, I have had my permit 3 years and my primary carry is a 3 inch S&W 629.
I cant believe I havent seen any Springfield XD's listed yet, thats what im considering next.

I've been carrying for exactly a week and a half (almost). :D

My carry piece in the beginning was a SW1911.

Now that I have grown older and wiser, it is still a SW1911 . :p

Carry piece

Been carrying for about three years now. My first was a S&W Model 60. Now my regular carry piece is a S&W Model 642. Occasionally I carry a Colt Mustang Plus II, Beretta Tomcat whenever weather (Philadelphia) conditions warrent.

I started carrying about the time Clinton first took office. My first CCW piece was a Ruger Sp-101 in .357-Way too much power.
2nd was a Glock 27-good gun but I wanted something smaller for pocket carry.
3rd was a Keltec P40-Not reliable and terrible trigger.
My current carry piece is a Kahr P9 covert-Ah,perfect!

Been carrying for almost six months now. My first carry gun was a xd-9 which was too thick but it was light, my current is a 1911 9mm which is thin but heavy, and Im going to try a browning hipower next which should be just right.

Carrying 4 years. First primary carry was a Kimber light weight commander sized .45 and I'm still carrying it. Now and then a full sized Colt govt. model takes its place. For the heat of the summer I hip-pocket carry an NAA Guardian .380.

First one I carried was an Ingalls Hi Power 9mm (Old style Browning Clone) Before i moved to Nevada. I now have a Firestar M-45, and if I ever have the time and money to get a CCW out here, I will be carrying that.

I've been carrying for about a year now, but have owned handguns for about 15 years from black powder revolvers to a wide variety of autos.

When I got my "target only" restriction lifted and got my "All Lawful Purposes" Class A High Capacity LTC I started out with a little too much enthusiasm, carrying a Swiss AT-84S (like a CZ75)with a high cap mag full of 15 9mm JHP's in an Uncle Mike's pancake holster. Boy what a heavy gun to tote around all day. :)

I needed something lighter and easier to conceal, so I retired the 9mm to the status of my "house" gun, and started carrying a nickel plated S&W Model 36 snubnose .38 special with Hydrashocks and combat grips, since about June. I used an Uncle Mike's IWB that worked just fine.

The snubbie was still a bit too bulky to wear all the time comfortably, so I recently began carrying an Astra Constable in .380 ACP with 7 rounds of FMJ. I like the slim Walther PPK type profile, the improved accuracy, and having two more rounds than the J-Frame. This with a newly aquired .25ACP Colt Junior with 7 rounds of FMJ as my pocket BUG keep me feeling secure no matter where I might be.

Booooo hoooooo , what this Concealed carry, sure not in
this state.. only CC permit given out were to ex
policemen who now work for the prosecutor.
even Ex policemen can not carry !!

8 years now. Before back problems either Colt commander in .45 or S&W 629 in 4" before back problem with model 642 BUG. Now I carry in a shoulder rig Model 60 in .357 with Bug still the same.

I have carried a PT99AF in a Galco high ride, I forget the model, for the past 5 years. I am in the process of switching to a M1911A1, original but with some added features. But now I am having questions on holster. Fobus? Seems pretty decent for the money. I am 6'4" and 220 lbs.

BTW I did have to back a guy down once. Never bring a claw hammer to a gunfight. All I had to do was pull my vest back so he could see I was not bluffing when I told him I would call 911 (I had a cell phone in my left hand), but the cops would not be there in time if he didn't leave then. He was a contractor who an elderly relative was having a problem with and would not take "your fired" as meaning what it says. Never saw a guy load his tools and leave as fast as he did.

I've been carrying since the spring of 2000. (It's kind of hard to remember the "Pre-Carry" days.) I started with a Browning Hi-Power, and graduated to a Springfield 1911-A1.

Carrying going on 5 years. Started carrying when Slick Willy and others were jumping up and down telling me that I should not have a gun.
Makarov was first and is still my trusted "truck gun".
Now, we rotate between a Glock 30, Chuck Daly 1911 or P11 for primary and P32 for backup.
Life is good.

I`ve been carrying daily for about 8 years. My first carry gun was an Astra A-75 DA compact .40 in an Uncle Mikes pancake holster. It was a decent little gun but heavy for it`s size. Went to a P-11 with belt clip for the weight reduction. Still have it an carry it quite a bit. A whole bunch of others includign my CZ-75B,10mm Witness,.40 Sigma,Ruger P-97 and S&W 1006 10mm have also been occasional carry guns. My current CCW darling is a single stack S&W 4053 alloy frame, compact .40. An NAA Mini .22mag. is my standard BUG and "when I can`t carry a real gun" gun. ;) Marcus

On and off about eleven years. In order:

Glock 17, which I was never comfortable with (too blocky, had to dry-fire to disassemble & clean)

Colt 1991 Defender (concealed great on my 150-pound frame, but too many levers and switches)

Briefly a Sig 229 in 40 cal (never really got the hang of the round)

Now carrying a P228. Can't imagine anything more perfect.

CCW

Been carrying for 3 years, started out with a Bersa Thunder .380. Moved up too a Ruger p89 9mm then to a Glock 19. Currently working on "tricking" out a Springer 1911 A-1 for carry.

"Everyone is your brother until the rent comes due..."

Carrying 7 or 8 years. Started with a S+W 640 .357.

I wanted an auto for carry so I bought a Kahr K40 a couple of years ago.

Last year I got my first 1911 .45 Government Model, not intended for carry but it eventually "forced me" to acquire a Springfield Micro-Compact (Lightweight 1911 .45 w/3" barrel) to replace the Kahr. The Kahr will be sold soon to pay for that one.

In between I added a Kel-Tec .32 and later traded that up to the .380 version. If I am in my home state, I always have at least the .380 in my pocket but I prefer to be carrying the .45 when mode of dress allows.

Carry for how long?

I started carrying in 1993, or 11 years ago. I started carrying because a low life was threatening my life. About two weeks ago I applied for a CCW permit. CCW was not legal until two weeks ago in my state. My permit will finally make me legal, praise the Lord.

I started carrying in the late '70's and carried until the late 80's, then I decided to stop doing something illegal and rejoined the ranks of the sheeple. I carried a blued Colt LW Commander loaded with the 200gr Speer JHPs.
