We certainly know where you stand, GEM!

I wish this was a joke, Folks , but it's not.Just pure censorship. We deserve better on THR!^
I don't normally do this as replying to a closed thread is generally bad form, but I want to address this issue a bit more directly. GEM please forgive me.

Every member agreed to follow the few rules when they signed up here. THR is private property. Plain and simple. Members do not have the right to say whatever they want. We are a firearms forum. Yes, politics often play a big part in our world. And when the topic of firearms, or firearms ownership, and politics cross paths we can discuss politics as they apply to the very narrow focus of firearms.

There is no 1st Amendment right here. Again, THR is private property. While we do our dead level best to not limit what gets said, there are just some topics that are just too far out of bounds for constructive discussion. We learned the hard way that broad political discussion or any sort of religious discussion lead to nothing but wailing and gnashing of teeth. And permanent bans...

As such, staff and Derek decided many years ago that those two topics are just too radioactive. Again, politics may be discussed in so far as how they relate to a specific firearms issue. I hate all Democrats is not that issue. And such hyperbole and drivel will not be tolerated.

THR welcomes all firearms owners from all walks of life, political affiliation, or points of view. All we ask is that members act like mature adults. We are the adult table in a internet full of screaming children. This works for some, not so well for others. That's okay. It's a big wide internet. One can find anything one wants out there. But here we will continue to abide by the principles that have made THR what it is.
