I just picked up a 2nd CZ527 in 6.5 grendel here's hoping I have better luck with this one. First one bought new refused to load rounds from the any of the 5 6.5 grendel/7.62x39 magazines that rifle is back at CZ for repairs. The newest is a varmint version has what appears to be a Boyd's stock and using some dummy rounds feeds from multiple mags. Put a 4-12 scope on it using CZ rings plan to go out later today to try it out.

I wish I could post pics but alas that's beyond my computer skills. I forgot to mention the original wood stock came with the rifle thought it was synthetic when I first handled it. Muzzle is threaded debating on whether to put a comp/ muzzle brake on it.

No suppressor not allowed in Ma. Bookmarked a couple of comps that are under $100 made of stainless steel. Didn't see anything in blued that piqued my interwsted.

Went to the range yesterday put 70 rds thru the CZ,50 factory and 20 handloads and other than getting the rifle sighted in I like it. Did notice one thing on closing the bolt the feel would chang some rounds the bolt closed easily, some needed a little force. Noticed this mostly on factory ammo wondering how consistent the rim thickness/diameter is. Using surplus H336/WC844. Trying to find loads for cast bullets but so far no luck.

Highlander, I’ve got a Patriot Valley Arms brake on my heavy barreled Grendel. I like that I can easily see my hits (and misses). I’m glad I added it.
