I checked "other" as I have night sights on and a laser in the XD45C I carry daily:

I've got Trijicon green/yellow night sights. The front dot is green, the rears are yellow. I really like the contrasting color of the front and rear sights. This eliminates lining up the sights with the front outside the rears, which is surprisingly easy to do in total darkness, especially if using your weak hand and/or eye. The yellows are also dimmer than the green naturally aiding your focus on the front sight.

I also have a Lasermax guide rod in my XD. The design of this laser system is absolutely brilliant. The on/off being a sliding pin (like a safety) contained within the takedown lever is perfect. It's right where your trigger finger ought to be until you're ready to fire, with either hand! I also very much like that it's a pulsed laser, meaning it blinks very rapidly. There is no "looking for the dot". You cannot miss it if you try as it draws your eye like nothing you've ever seen. The only downside to this laser is the battery life. Mine go about an hour. I always carry with fresh batteries and change to a practice set when at the range. It uses four teeny-tiny hearing aid batteries that are quite expensive at retail stores. I get them off eBay for less than $1 each shipped.
