No, It does not bother me if others do not carry.

The only thing that has bothered me about our CCW law was my co-workers. Nine of us got together and signed up for our CCW class when the law first passed here in Michigan. We all took the class and as I write this I am the only one who went through the hoops to get my license. Now many of these people like to hunt and shoot and are believers in the 2nd. However not one of the "bums" got off their duff and went through with it. If for no other reason than to pad the number of license holders they should have finished it out to support the law.

To my mind this is like someone who does not vote. How can they complain about loosing any gun / hunting rights if they do not support them. The real problem is apathy. Some people just can not be bothered with the hassle, the hurdles, nor the scrutiny. I am glad that there are others who will go the distance . . .

Yes, though I don't know why. My buddy has reapplied for his the same time as me. In the 3 years since we were licensed he has carried zero times. I have countless times. I asked him why he was even reapplying. His answer: In case I ever want to. Seems like a waste of money and time to me. Aggravation, also, here in Wayne Cty.

Does Not Bother Me in the Least

I have a CCW, and carry almost all the time. There are times either my job forbids it, or it is not advizable to carry.

Example: Photography. I can not maintain the proper care and attention to carrying if I am out and about taking photographs. I am looking for the right shot, and light conditions.

Everyone must make there own decsion when and where to carry. It frankly is no one elses business.

Since getting my Ohio CC permit, I'm more convinced that the people who carry, and don't have a permit, are the smart ones. We have to carry openly in the car, which I have a problem with (for several reasons). I can't carry on the premises where I work...period. I can't carry into any establishment where liquor is consumed...period. The CC permit is basicaclly a red flag that say's, "I have a CC permit, so check me out to see if I'm carrying illegally".
So...no I don't excercise my rights very often.

I know what I have to do to be the person I want to be. I have no control over what others do or who they want to be.
What they do or think is their bsiness as long as they don't try to make it my business.

I'm sure I'm probably one of your irritants...

I've had my CCW since first allowed by law here in Ohio almost a year ago. I work in a VERY BAD, crack-head infested, neighborhood and I carried illegally for about 10 years for after hours calls. I got my CCW so I could now carry legally when I need to drive down to the "'hood" to open up for customers after hours in emergency situtations.(HVAC/Refr) I live in a super safe middle class predominantly white neighborhood, and rarely carry on my person unless it's late at night or going into work. If I run up to the local 7/11 or Speedway late at night, I'll stuff it in my pants for safeties sake, but usually unless I'm going into BAD neighborhoods, I usually leave it locked in the car.
