Well, if you've read the thread this far, then this one will make sense:

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."

- Robert Heinlein

When disscusing self defence a friend remarked he studys martial arts. When I asked him what style he responded,"crouching fatman hidden glock".

I read this somwhere on this site. When a gentlman was asked " Could you shoot an apple out of my hand at 100 yards?" The man replied "no, but I can make you drop it"

In reference to a 9MM:

If you shoot me with that, and I find out about it, I'll kill you!

(I'm not one to bash the 9MM, but that line gets me every time anyway!)

"Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American peoples' liberty, teeth, and keystone under independance. To secure peace, Security, and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interferance - they deserve a place of honour with all that is good." -George Washington

“By calling attention to ‘a well regulated militia’, the ’security’ of the nation, and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms’, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason, I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.” - John F. Kennedy, April 1960

"You may not like guns and choose not to own one. That's your choice. You might not believe in God. That's your right. However, if someone breaks into your home there are two things you're going to do. First, call someone with a gun. Second, pray they get there in time." -Some cowboy

"How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual... as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of." Texas State Rep. Suzanna Gratia-Hupp

"To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike especially when young, how to use them." (Richard Henery Lee, 1788, Initiator of the Declaration of Independence, and member of the first Senate, which passed the Bill of Rights.)

Get off a shot FAST, this upsets him long enough to let you make your second shot perfect. - Robert A Heinlein.

"Rifles, muskets, long-bows and hand-grenades are inherently democratic weapons. A complex weapon makes the strong stronger, while a simple weapon - so long as there is no answer to it - gives claws to the weak." - George Orwell

The bearing of arms is the essential medium through which the individual asserts both his social power and his participation in politics as a responsible moral being... (Historian J.G.A. Pocock, describing the beliefs of the founders of the U.S.)

'I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.' -Albert Einstein

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”—Samuel Adams

Guns have only two enemies; rust and politicians

The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.

The Second Amendment is in place in case the politicians ignore the others.

The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights Reserved.

64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.

You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.

Know guns, know peace, know safety. No guns, no peace, no safety.

Those who trade liberty for security have neither. ~John Adams

You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.

Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.

"Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not." ~Thomas Jefferson

"Yes, that's a real gun in that gun rack... No, I don't have a permit for it... Do you have a permit to ask stupid questions like that?" - Trace Adkins in "Rough and Ready"

And of course my Sig line :D

You can't miss fast enough to win.

Criminal defense attorney in court: "Deputy could you please tell the jury why it was necessary to shoot my client FIVE TIMES?"

Deputy: "Well Counselor, my first shot missed and my gun don't hold but six."

Being from Massachusetts, sadly it's:

"Gun control is not crime control, it's the slow erosion and conversion of second amendment rights into crimes."

However, when I'm in my happy Maine place it's:

"Honey, do you think this Mossberg prints too much or should I go with the Walther?"

:D

From the movie " Breaker Morant "

Harry Morant---" We shot them under Rule .303 ."

Heckler & Koch "Because you suck and we hate you!" :D

I can't believe this thread went this long without that one, lol.

and...

"Are you gonna pull those sixguns or whistle "Dixie"?" Josey Wales

New favorite!

"I'm passionate about Sarah Palin, She wasn't a princess. She cleans her gun the same way I clean mine."
Barbara Kaniewski, 51, Plainfield Township, Michigan
quoted from an article by James Oliphant in The Chicago Tribune Nov 19,2009.
