Sounds fantastic, but I wonder about the durability. How about an S&W N frame in 454 Casull with a 5" barrel .

Agreed but with all the new alloys available today I don't see why not. The Freedom Arms revolvers are not extra large but hold up very well. Yes I know a SA revolver has an advantage but this is a "wish" thread...Sounds fantastic, but I wonder about the durability.
Indeed it is, and good point about the alloys.Agreed but with all the new alloys available today I don't see why not. The Freedom Arms revolvers are not extra large but hold up very well. Yes I know a SA revolver has an advantage but this is a "wish" thread...
Isn't that basically the old 9mm Winchester Magnum?I want a rimless .357 magnum.
Cut down a piece of .223 brass to the overall .357mag length, run it through a sizer to get the correct inside diameter, and there you go. Then chamber an AR barrel to fit it, and face the back of the cylinder of a nice stout, preferably N frame, revolver so that I can use the rimless round in it while still being able to use the conventional round.
I would then have a great pistol/carbine combination in a cartridge that really shows some improvement in a carbine length barrel while still being useful in shorter pistol barrels.
I already have a lever-action in .357 and the revolvers to accompany it. Now I want one in an auto action. Maybe even an auto action pistol while I'm at it.
They might need to use the 97 frame, but I agree. Would be nice to see them put out something to compete with Tanfoglio's 10mm offerings.
Yes sir and I think you posted a picture of it awhile ago in another thread. I think it's a great idea for the CZ 97 and I'd be very interested if they were ever brought to market.Your wish has sort of been granted - there is exactly ONE CZ-97 in 10mm, built as an experiment. It's in Kansas City, IIRC. It worked well, but acording to those who know, it was a HUGE pain to build, and the demand wasn't really there to justify tooling up for one. Now that the CZ factory is open and running here in the US, maybe something might happen...
I'm not a fan of how they look either but it's a great design if you want to scope a revolver.I'd like to see a new Super Redhawk that doesn't look as goofy. They're great guns, but that barrel just doesn't look right to me. Just make one that looks like a beefed up GP100 either half or full lug, and I'll take a 5" 454.
Kimber K6s with an alloy frame to knock the weight down to about 16 oz or so and lighten it up in the pocket.
An Ammo can that never ran out and a dog that never gets old
I think we did this a few years ago, but trends, interests, and forum members change. So let's just have fun.
What handguns do you wish was made that doesn't exist and has never been produced? Let's try to keep it to reasonably possible guns, not absurd could never happen guns.
For revolvers, I want a stainless half lug GP100 chambered in 41 magnum, with a 5 inch barrel.
For autoloaders I want a Sig Saur P227 Legion in all steel, chambered for 10mm. Standard barrel length, or a 5 inches. Fixed night sights.
The XDe is rather large, bigger than a Shield. And plastic.
What he said!!!A new python
A lightweight top break double action cut for moon clips in 38 special with a 3 inch barrel
