Dear Mods, I done been profiled, I thunk... *grin*

I definitely vote other...

The gist of multiple pm's;

Okay Steve,
What are your ideas of Classic 'Merican knives.

-Old Hickory, Dexter, Green River...
The fact of the matter, these have a history of doing home, property, and hunting/game duty.

-Simple slipjonts/penknives. Another fact is for many folks they only had one knife, and for many they had the same knife their whole life! These vary from small (Peanut size) to Trapper, to Stockman, to Sodbuster to...

-Fillet knives, Rapala, to similar designs. Another fact of the matter is, those in "fishing" environments, knew how to use "the tool" and therefore a lot of game, and household duties where carried out, with fillet knives.

-Carving/Whittling knives.
Yes. These too, in my opinion are classics. A lot of you younger folks do not, or were not exposed to veterans of wars, Polio, and other reasons, where a small fixed blade, afforded one not only a daily carry (EDC) also these knives performed fish/game and other duties.

I may be older, and I have the right to be be wrong, which also gives me the right, to be Right.

Steve
