What is your favorite rifle in your current collection?

Simple question. Add a picture or explain why it's your favorite...if your want.
No room for "that rifle sucks" or "such and such is better" arguments.
Just a good old fashion chat about rifles.

FWIW

I would say my favorite rifle is my SGL-21. I like that the ammo is cheap and doesn't care about being cleaned after use.

my dad's 20 buck 03a3 from the nra in the early 60's
I'm going to hazard a guess that that rifle was not sold by the NRA. The DCM (Dept. or Director of Civilian Marksmanship?), now the CMP, was selling those guns. The NRA was telling members about the program, belonging to a firearms club was proof you were eligible to buy one.

My original Winchester '73 in .38-40 is my favorite rifle.

I don't know. Every rifle I have I got for a specific purpose or reason, so depending on the application I have many favorites. Some I can't even remember why I got them but I must have had a reason. I think I did anyway.

I guess I like my AR-10 and my M1A about equal give or take.

There are others but I like these two.

Winchester model 70 "Black Shadow" in 7 mm rem. mag. Would be my choice of favorite rifle, thank you for Your consideration.:)

The one that was hardest to find: Browning A-Bolt Medallion in .257 Roberts with Swift Premier 2-7X40 scope.

I really liked my ABM in 7mm Rem Mag and my Savage 25 in .223 Remington, but I wanted another bolt gun to bridge the bullet weight gap. After initially settling on a 25-06, I shifted to the Bob mostly for the short action, but also just to have something fairly uncommon but not so uncommon that I'd have to form brass.

The rifle shoots great, and is simply beautiful to look at. I could pretty easily replace any other rifle in my safe, but not that one.

I'm rather fond of my M1D mock-up with a reproduction M84 scope. I used to have the M1D flash suppressor too, but I bent one of the forks trying to loosen it. I'm going to have to pick up another one.

Remington 512. Got it brand new in 1949. Still in almost like new condition even though it has has many cases of ammo run thru it. First firearm I even owned.

My Granddad's medium-frame Colt Lightning Magazine Rifle in .38-40 calibre. Still works smooth and fast.

Papaws Ithaca 37 and my Tikka 6.5x55. Both are my favorites, but for different reasons.

Hmmmm!

Rimfire: Marlin 39a. Utterly reliable, good for generations of shooters, and more accurate than I will ever be.

Centerfire: Navy Arms 45-70 Rolling Block. A simple mechanism and it can use smokeless or (preferably) black powder handloads with excellent accuracy. A very satisfying rifle to shoot and a part of history.

Remington 700 VLS chambered in 308. Sent it to McMillan and they put it in an A5 stock and glass bedded it. Mounted the scope and base myself. Best group so far is a 4 shot 1/2" group at 300 yards.

That's like asking me to pick my favorite child.

There's one I can never replace thats just an old family heirloom squirrel gun from the early 1800's and it's unsafe to fire. I need to take some really good pics of it. (started a new thread about it)

I have to say I never understood the allure of the AR15 until I owned one. Absolutely the most reliable semi automatic firearm I have ever owned.

Marlin 1894 is just a grin to shoot.

All of them are my favorites or I wouldn't own them. If they aren't my favorite they get sold unless they were gifts from someone dear to me.

My Marlin Model 60 my uncle gave to me its cheap to shoot and holds 17 or 18 rounds idk been to long since I've gone to the range I'm sorry to say.

It has to be my SAKO M-78 in K-Hornet. It's my ground hog up to yotes gun.
