SAFN Egyptian contract w/ spare barrel. I put it up for sale at three bills when I was in dire need of cash. The buyer was literally leaving with it when I went in to pull it off the line.
Colt Police Positive Special. Second Gen. A somewhat ratty old piece I could never justify having. I bought and sold it several times over the years until I lost track of it.
CZ 452 .22. Shot hundreds of small game animals with it. Absolute tack driver. I bought it in 2000 when they were still dirt cheap and before there was a CZ-USA set up or the "A" (America) prefix rifles out. Lost it in a separation, but the good news is I reclaimed it after buying the ex a new CZ. It was all rusty, but cleaned up nice. I'll never let it go now.
Mosin-Nagant M-39 from my birth year. I stupidly let it go because I was out of room. I want to get one again some day.
Cosmo you know those M-39s aren't THAT hard to come by.
I however would live a SAFN, I belive they were in 8mm, right?
BTW I request your feedback in the tactics forum.
Yeah, WGA has two 1970's right now. But I never seem to have the cheddar when the toast is hot, if you know what I mean. I'm sure I'll get one eventually. I'm not holding out much hope for a minty SAFN for three bills though ;-)
20mm Lhati - $99.95; 20mm Solothurn $189.95 - both circa 1962. Had the money, just could figure how to smuggle the shipping crates into the garage past the Old Man...
About 12 years ago, when I was 21. My friend's father had a Walther/Interarms stainless PP in .22 LR in excellent condition. He was going to sell it to me for $250. Every day after that has been a very sad day.
In the eighties I bought a (1944) Springfield M1 Garand for $225 and a Eddystone 1917 U.S. Enfeild for $125. Sold them both less than a year after getting them because I was stupid. There have been several others, but those two hurt the most.
I try not to let them "get away" any more.
Did lose a 1898 Krag last week by 5 minutes!!!
It was $75,everything there,had a sporter stock.
Worth way more then that in parts.
