Has anyone heard of a CZ Alpha combat or Alpha defender? They are polymer frame with a nickle steel alloy slide in 9mm caliber. The Defender is the compact version of the Combat and both have 13 round magazines.

I saw a picture of them in a advertisement and was wondering if they are made by the same company that makes the CZ75. They claim these were never imported before. I could see Czech Republic on it but no CZ company emblem but not all CZ,s have the company emblem. Is this another case of someone cashing in on the CZ name or a real Uhersky Brod CZ?

That is strange. Never heard of it, but the Russian Spetnaz ALPHA teams are rumored to use CZ75s.

Where did u see the advertisement?

Howdy!

Yep, I'd like a little more info too. Y'all might remember the "CZ" that ADCO was importing. It was called the "TT9" and the "TT45". It was a polymer gun and really not too bad. I believe it was a Tangfolio design that was outsourced to the old CZ Strokonice company, not to be confused by "our" CZ Uhrsky Brod.

There are a couple of other firearms manufacturers in the Czech Republic besides CZUB who use the "CZ" nomenclature. Plus the Serbs with their P-226 clone-ish CZ-99. I've not heard of the "Alpha" model mentioned, but it's probably something from one of those manufacturers.

I saw a few more pictures of it and it has BRNO ARMS on the grip. It is not a Uhersky Brod CZ but a different company.

Here is the link to their web site. It will be in czech but there is a English button in the upper right hand corner. They also make the same gun in .40 and .45
