A salesman who used to come to my work would talk to me about "the issues" since he noticed I listened to talk radio.
He seemed like the "perfect Republican" - until one day, he said: "The only issue I disagree with the party on is the 'gun issue'. They need to get those 'assault weapons' off the streets. No one needs those."
After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I got out my soapbox and gave one of the finest lectures on the RKBA I'd ever given. I then asked him to re-think his position and invited him to go shooting with me. He never took the offer, and I didn't get a chance to talk to him much after that. I still wonder if I ever got through to him.
I agree with an earlier poster who said that these types are more dangerous than gun-grabbing libs. A quote from C.S. Lewis illustrates this well:
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
