I rotate between a 4" and a 4.25" lightweight 1911 in .45 acp, and an extra mag for if I need more capacity. I'll add a lightweight commander sized 10mm 1911 when I find one I like.
Well, the OP did say he was currently packing a G43 (7+1) and wanted something a little bigger with more capacity, kinda pooh-pooing a 10-round pistol and implying he wanted a 15-round capacity pistol...why not consider a 38sp snubbie revolver, except for lower capacity…
I have a 38 special but it’s a 4 in not a snubby. It’s a good shooter, but I shoot semis better so for carry that’s what I go with. Thanks for the suggestion!why not consider a 38sp snubbie revolver, except for lower capacity…

I’m looking to get a new ccw gun. Currently I’m carrying a glock 43 and it’s a great gun, I just would like something a tad bigger that has a higher capacity. Really a longer grip to get a good firm grip on but not so big it’s hard to conceal. Micro compacts are easy to carry but not the best shooter. I’m looking at the glock 48 since it’s basically the same frame just a larger scale but it only holds 10 rounds. The hellcat pro was the other option and it holds 15. I know shield makes the 15 round mags for the glock but I’m not big on aftermarket parts on carry guns. I prefer to keep them stock that’s just me. Then I seen where Taurus just released the gx4 carry which peaked my curiosity. I always like to get on here and get everyone’s opinion before buying. I’m open to suggestions from all thr members!
Sounds like 43X with S15 15 round magazines is what you're looking for.I’m looking to get a new ccw gun. Sig P365XL is 12+1 factory and can be made 14+1 if you were not opposed to doing the Mag Guts spring swap. CZ P-10S is another option if you don't want to bump up to a compact firearm like the CZ P-10C or Glock 19. Glock 26 if you're partial to Glock and don't want to bump up to a 19.I’m looking to get a new ccw gun. Are the PSA Dagger magazines less expensive than the Shield magazines?I think I’ve about settled on the glock 48 and I like the psa dagger mags that give 15 rounds. I have a compact 15 round gun so that rules out a glock 26 or 19. I want a full size frame that’s a slimline. I think the 48 is the ticket.
Yes the psa mags are around 30 ish. They are half polymer and half steel so you don’t have to replace the mag catch like with the sa magsAre the PSA Dagger magazines less expensive than the Shield magazines?
I have heard nothing but good things about the Shield mags. They run $49 at my LGS for the G48.
U.S. Marshal Gerard, is that you?Get a Glock 19.
He carried a 22U.S. Marshal Gerard, is that you?
C'mon, never let facts interrupt a good joke.He carried a 22
I appreciate everyone’s comment but I pulled the trigger pun intended and came home with a new glock 48! I am happy with my choice.
