Happy i found this thread, i got mine 2 weeks ago for $35.00. had to buy a mag but well worth it.

Here are today's results with the 9mm Carbine. Put 110 rounds through it between my dad and I. I used the Blazer Brass 9mm stuff. I'm quite happy with the groupings at 25 yards. 50 yards....eh not so much. 
All shooting was done standing off-hand/unsupported with iron sights.
Argh....the linking isn't working.
Ok, so the two pictures with the big holes were done at 25 yards with 30 rounds apiece.
The one with the spread out grouping was done at 50 yards with 25 rounds.

looks like a potent little carbine, might just see if i can trade my friend for his, so i can torture test it. Its lighter weight semmingly decent accuracy, and high customisability would make it a great house gun. I havent even seen a kel-tec shoot that well. I cant wait for the 45acp one. Dose it feed hallows well

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that release if I were you.
Another option to consider is the Kel-Tec SUB-2000. It is a 9mm or .40 S&W carbine that folds in half for storage. It also takes glock, S&W, SIG or Beretta pistol mags depending on the model so you have the option for hi-cap magazines. It comes with the same no questions asked warranty too for only around $75 to $100 more than the hi-point.
Here is a picture of mine, I added a red dot sight, VFG, and crappy paint job. Its fun to shoot, a good 'mall ninja' range gun.
Another option would be the beretta CX4 but it is pretty expensive.

995 Hi-Point I bought used with laser and scope for just over $200. Some of the best money spent on a fun shooter. I changed out the scope for a red dot sight.
15 round pro-mags are pretty much junk, stick with the factory 10 rounder. The .45 version is like fairy dust - doubt you will ever see it hit production.
They don't scream quality, but they are a bargin for the price and new ones are still only a couple hundred. They mostly shoot just fine as many have indicated, and the factory has a great reputation for customer service. There is a Hi-Point forum that has a lot of info from the fans of these guns.
