"Seems to me I remember a gunman in a McDonalds murdering a bunch of people. There was a woman in there that had left her legal handgun in her car because it was against the law to carry it into the Mcducks. She lost her parents because she didn't have the gun she normally carried. There is a higher law than man made law and that is the absolute right to self defense. I probably wouldn't have entered that mcducks or I may have broken the law. In any event I won't go anywhere that my gun isn't allowed. I assume that if they won't let me defend myself they want me dead and I won't play their game."
+1!! I carry in the car, at work, and everywhere I am legally allowed to do so. The only place I do not carry is the post office or any other government building. Otherwise, I have a gun on me.
I also have stopped frequenting stores or businesses that do not allow me to carry on their premises. I refuse to support anyone that does not support me. I have even gone as far as written a letter to a couple of stores informing them that I do not shop there anymore. Basically it reinforces that i am the type of person they WANT to have armed on the property. I have had training, I am familiar with my firearm, I have taken the time to get a permit to carry, I have passed a local, state and federal background check, I am a legal citizen that is responsible enough to warrant carrying a weapon and I am willing to put myself in harm's way to defend my life and possibly the life of others.
The other point I try to make is that by not allowing me to carry a weapon, they assume all responsibility for my well being.
I carry a P-64 in 9mm Makarov, a S&W SIGMA in either 9mm or .40, or a Colt model 1903 depending on my "threat level" and mood.
