I asked artificial intelligence to settle the 9mm vs 45acp debate.

Ultimately, the choice between 9mm and .45 ACP should depend on your specific needs and personal preferences. It's important to consider factors like capacity, recoil tolerance, ammunition cost, and your ability to shoot accurately with either caliber. Both cartridges are effective for self-defense, but the key is to train regularly and become proficient with your chosen firearm.
^^^ This has been true long before AI entered the scene, and it goes for all of the most popular SD calibers. Folks need to get over themselves and the need to justify their choice to others, by beating down the choices of others.

I like how people want to compare the latest and greatest 9 mm +P against the old school 45ACP round ball without taking regards to the latest and greatest 45auto in hollow points and what they are capable of. I know when it comes to 9mm versus 45ACP, 9mm wins. But you got to take into account that there's +P and there is super, and there is also 450SMC, not to mention maximum pressure 45super otherwise known as 460Roland to those that don't reload.
If you want to see what even a slightly more powerful 200gr 45auto can do, watch this and be amazed.

Yes, but 'natural' intelligence, like common sense, seems to be waning in the organic fluid sacs we call people...who have not managed to find an answer for this query for decades. So when thinking inside the box didn't work, shafter took the query outside the box to AI.

The meek shall inherit the earth.

meek /mēk/

adjective

Easily imposed on; submissive.
from Old Norse mjūkr "soft"

In my book, weak minded and cowardly comes to mind.

What an absolutely bizarre post. Okay, you cited me, but then reply with a Biblical quote using a word for which you provide a definition, and then provide your own person feelings of what that word means. Are you making a point? If so, it is pretty obtuse.

HAHAHAHAHA!

ChatBPT pretty much wrote EXACTLY what I expected it to write on this subject! A bunch of incomplete, non-technically supported, mumbo-jumbo BS with a wishy-washy, non-committal conclusion to the question! Complete with BS terms that have no real meaning! Two fudds on a park bench could have done better!

Thanks! This will probably be the biggest laugh all day for me!

We should do more ChatGPT threads like this!

I can't stand the guilt any more. I have to confess, shafter asked me by PM to write that as a gag. I feel so, so guilty. But he did take out my original remark that the clear evidence "for" a large, heavy bullet was the bugs flattened on your car windshield. I thought that was a good point.

The answer will always be "It depends...."

I understand definitive, as it's used here, to mean in all situations.

There is no definitive answer.

I'd explain it to you, however I never learned to speak Jethro Bodine.
