I made contact with the enemy tonight...

AB,

The cost of doing "business" with my truck will be whatever gas he has in his vehicle put back in mine until it spilleth over at gun point:D

The lesson he learns that goes with that price of business, is that the next time I catch him anywhere near my vehicle, I'll not be so pleasant and the cost will be in bloodletting [ his ].

As it is, he got away with the crime, and crime paid dividends for him this time to the tune of 5-6 gallons of gas. He hasn't learned any lessons whatsoever, and I'm always more than willing to give them free lessons anytime it's necessary. It's all about educating them, no more or less:rolleyes:

Taser.

"Gee officer ... he threatened me, so I fended him off. I was really surprised when he burst into flames like that...."

I can think of nothing more brain-dead than waving around something emitting gasolene fumes while committing a crime.

I did ditch the gun and I would do it again.

As I was watching and yelling from the bedroom, I was approximately 10 yards away from the scumbag.

Once I went out the front door sans pistol, I was 15 yards away and he was already backing out of the parking spot.

The last thing I wanted to do is run around the parking lot in my drawers waving around a pistol over a few gallons of gasoline.

Guy gave evidence of trying to get outta there - unless you already had your holster on, running with a pistol in your hand's liable to get the police called about you (running with a shotgun or wooden-stock rifle is evidence that you live there, though, and defending your property). Sounds like you did right - but I still would like to know what could've happened if you fired a flare pistol at his tank.

This one has dengererated into stupid fantasy (some of them illegal) about street justice. It's not longer appropriate for The High Road.
