Wow... that looks pretty sweet...

At 6.9 pounds I'm curious about recoil, I'm sure with the mag tubes filled it couldn't be bad, but once you start to run low it might kick like a mule...

And Kel-Tec's website says the MSRP isn't final yet but they are around $800...

Im not a fan of the sights... AR sights on a shotgun? Seriously? I'll take a bead any day...

Anyone know a solid release date for this? Im guessing the fellow who said 2018 was attempting a joke.

You're correct, the release date is 2011, it's just the AVAILABILITY date that is the fall of 2018 :D

Since I just got here, has the batfeces declared it to be a "destructive device" and lacking sporting purposes yet?

I very well could see me selling my Mossberg 500 SPX which could be considered Tactikool but is pure function as HD imo.
The KT bullpup reminds me of the 12 gauge Mossy bullpup i owned 20 years ago and stupidly sold for party money im sure. That was an amazingly fun gun.

New Sport?!

BATF will regulate it to LE only so they are the only ones to get them...
They can probably do that, for the reasons I mentioned in my overlong discussion on page 4. Perhaps a few of the first owners of this weapon should engage in some various obvious sports (hunting deer, clay pigeons, and real pigeons, for example) and put some videos on YouTube. It would increase sales, as well as make it more embarrassing for the BATFE if the latter should ever decide the Kel-Tec has no legitimate sporting use.

Perhaps a variation of 3-Gun should be developed. Call it 2-Tube. Part of the challenge would be switching between slugs in one tube, and shot in the other, to properly tag paper versus steel targets. Beyond that you could make it look like Speed Steel or silhouette shooting - ordinary paper bullseyes and steel circles, or steel javelinas or whatever.

Lots of steel targets would get slugged to death by noobs, but the point is, it's a sport few other weapons could compete in. Perhaps that old box-and-tube 12-gauge from Ishevsk, I think it was an MR-131K or and MP-131K? they were cool but didn't sell well. You could also specify that the paper could be shot with any bullet or slug with a decent muzzle energy; that would give those three guys who bought Crossfires a chance to use their guns. :)

It depends on how one is going to shoot it. If one shoots slugs having adjustable sights is a very nice, and IMHO a significant advantage. I too would probably put a RDS on it.

If it's much more than that I'll probably just wait and see what the Ruger version looks like.

I dunno man, take a look at the new Cooper Scout Rifle. How could they have confused semi-auto bullpup with a traditional bolt action? :D

I really hope that when Ruger does copy this and the RFB, they keep the price down.

I was thinking of eventually buying a saiga 12 (probably still will one day) but this... I like it.

I've only known about this thing for like 2 days and I am already impatient for it's release. I want one now!

It'd be ecstatic if they release a flashlight end cap for one of the magazine tubes. I wonder how a Magpull AFG would feel under the forearm.

Yes yes and yes. And if they could make one with a tad longer barrell it would be great!
Ill be watching this!

"Sporting Purpose" only applies to imports ... otherwise converting Saigas to "evil configuration" once you replace enough foreign made parts replaced with US made ones would still be completely illegal.

Last I heard, Florida was still in the United States :D

"Street Sweepers" are made in South Africa, thats why they're DD's because of "No sporting purpose".

You're not entirely accurate in saying that. Sporting purpose applies to American made guns as an exemption if they could otherwise be declared a destructive device. Lacking sporting purpose is the excuse for calling a street sweeper 12 gauge shotgun a destructive device. Street sweepers were not all made in south africa. A 12 gauge has a bore over half an inch and the ONLY reason your duck gun 12 ga is not a destructive device is because it has a "sporting purpose exemption." Complex laws suck and are a sign of tyranny.

I am totally not a shotgun person (I don't even own one), but I have to say this one is interesting enough to go onto my "would like to own someday" list.

At 6.9 lbs and packing 15 federal 2.75" rifled slugs (2805 ft/lbs ME each) this little bad boy packs a total of 42,000 foot pounds of whoop a$$ :what:- it is one of the most powerful hand held weapons pound per pound around. An Ak-47 packs 45,000 ft/lbs (with a 30 round mag) in comparison, but weights a bit more.
Kel-Tec has hit another home run with what looks to be one of the best HD weapons around.

You have to give Kel-Tec a lot of credit. While most of the American firearms industry has been stuck in the 19th Century, the amount of risk-taking and innovation on the part of that little Florida company over the past twenty years has been astounding.
