Someone quoted Elmer Keith earlier in the thread.
That quote is accurate.

Never really was concerned about the lethality of a .22 until I had the muzzle of one shoved under my jaw and pointed upwards.

I thank God everyday that there wasnt one in the chamber.

Butt kickings did ensue.

The most intimidating firearm on the planet is the one you dont see.......but you hear the racking of a slide in the distant dark........maaaaaahhhhhhh:evil:

agreed the reply "the one pointed at you".

When I was in high school at night I worked at a Sizzlers restaurant. One night we were robbed(while still open and packed with customers),they waited for someone to open the back door. Two men, both with revolvers. One held us huddled in the back,I glimsped him, he was a teen with a .22 revolver,I looked at the handgun and saw he was shaking nervous with it.The other crawled the manager to the office.

It may have only been a .22 but I was real scared. Not a fun experience.

Any one that's pointed at me. I don't like seeing the business end of a gun. :what:

That said, I picked the Mossberg since:
1. I own it.
2. If I'm ever shot by one in close range, I'm probablly going to be at the giant gun range in the sky.

Assuming that 20mm and above is technically a cannon, I vote for the Soviet KPV heavy machine gun in 14.5mm.

well... i've only looked down the barrel of one gun in my life... i knew it was loaded... it was a revolver and i seen the tips of the bullets... my brother-in-law was being a rectal orifice and pointed that thing right between my eyes... i looked at it and could have sworn it was going to fire a baseball sized bullet at my head...

forgot to mention.... it was a .22....
