What's more intimidating looking when it's pointed at the screen?
Revolver?
Semi-auto?

I thought the big revolver Gary Oldman used in "The Professional" was dang intimidating.

Without a doubt, revolver.

Remember all those Taffin photos from American Handgunner? I mean damn. You could park a jetski in some of those bores! The semi-auto may be cool for the whole brass ejecting and clinking on the pavement thing, but for sheer ‘in yer face BOOM!’ the big bore revolver is still king.

I mean come on; ‘Seeing as this is a Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum and will blow your head clean off… you have to ask yourself… do you feel lucky?’

'nuff said

Got to go with the revolver. Remeber in Beverly Hills Cop when the bad guy had a N frame snubbie to the head of Axil's girlfriend? Man, that looked huge! Poor old Eddy only had a BHP.

This is why hollywood loves the Desert Eagle so much, you know. It's big and shows up on camera well, and it looks mean as hell.

But yeah, the revolver wins hands down. Thumb-cock the hammer, see that cylinder spin...aw yeah....

Why are there 6 votes for Autoloader yet everyone is chiming in about the revolver being the most intimidating?

And I voted for revolver anyways. 'Cause they usually look huge, and sound big.

When I'm at the range my revolvers always attract the most attention. Maybe its just a gut reaction to years of 70's cop show reruns.

Well, I watched the movie "The Assassin"...with Sly stallone and Antonio Banderas.

Both carried around Silenced Ruger MKII 22 pistols...There are only two reasons for these pistols to exist...For LOW NOISE plinking, and for contract killing. ;)

And neither were doing any plinking.

The way they looked and the sound they made was very scary to me.

SO I went out and bought a ruger 22 bull barrel.
