First off, Texas-sized prayers to your son and your family.
Second of all, I do Angel Flights.

I've flown a number of young children with cancer. My wife and I do not have children, so it touches me when I hear of a young man or young lady taking on this insidious disease and fighting it with all the courage, will and strength they have.
In the years we've been involved with this, I've seen a number of youngsters kick cancer right square in the butt. Kids are amazingly resiliant in spirit--so long as we adults and the adults they look up to and admire are strong.
I tell you this to offer encouragement--children beat this disease. Your son can and will beat it, too. Secondly, if there is ever any medical treatment he may need outside of your immediate area now or sometime in the future, sign up with Angel Flight and other medical volunteer flight services now.
If he needs treatment anywhere down here in my neck of the woods (Dallas/Fort Worth), let me know and we'll make arrangements to get him down here.
Best regards and sincere prayers,
Jeff
