@sigp229r

awesome looking sig as well. i would not want to scratch it though. what caliber is this in?

No problem. Look up Cerakote and you can find all the colors available.
I dont mean to hijack this thread, but what did you use for the magazine base and magazine release? They look identical in color with the slide, but I keep reading that cerakote can only be applied to certain types of metals (aluminum, steel, titanium, and scandium, evidently). The magazine base would be a critical part of the job I'm interested in having done, and it would need to match the slide, as yours does.

Thanks again.

Gold Cup Custom stainless converted to stainless 1911a1 type innards with 2 fitted barrels and slide stops. One barrel (original GC) has a tight NM chamber and a tight bushing and full length guide rod.with a fitted slide stop. Other barrel is a Barsto 1911a1 spec barrel with a fitted bushing no too tight and a 1911a1 style guide rod system and Wilson Bullet proof slide stop and 22 lb recoil spring for Winchester Ranger +p ammo.

Second is my Lt Weight Officer carry piece. It has a Heine recoil system and has never jammed on me.

My #2 old and trusted Combat Commander which I have had for 25+ years- old faithful!

My Dad's (RIP) old hard ball gun last worked on by Bob Chow in the late 70s!

My latest hi cap Para P-14 fighting pistol , it has all ex Army Marksmanship Unit 1911a1 fire control and hammer fitted. I welded up the beavertail to fit the 1911a1 hammer. I finally got it sighted in afet putting in a double staked front sight and the stock rear sighted drifted over. These sights are good for what I keep it for..SHTF

Here are my two 1911's

A Springfield armory "loaded" 1911, and a Colt gunsite CCO.

Both mostly stock, the CCO had a long trigger instead of the short it came with.

Forgot to add this one earlier. Made in 1918 and it went through the Augusta Armory at some point. Serial 309XXX is decently low. Has been refinished but I don't know who blued and jeweled it. My dad picked it up in the 1980s for $250 and I'm happy to have it.

Slightly modified Kimber Custom II, and my favorite "polymer blaster", a FNH FNP 40. Sorry for the nasty carpet... I really should have vacuumed first. :D

I have a modest selection of semis, a few each in small medium and large, but when it comes to my favorite, well I immediately know it's one of my two 1911s, the only problem is I'm not entirely sure which one. The stainless S&W is my most trusted and most accurate semi-auto hands down, but the blued Cimarron is more traditional and 'pure' with the original design. To me, they are equally gorgeous and equally fun to shoot! Neither has the full-length guide-rod, I prefer the plug style.

Obviously I despise shiny guns :p

Really too many that I really like(Caracal F & C, M&P, Glock 17) but the M&P with Silencerco Osprey Suppressor is my favorite to look at.
